Shimanto Town, Kochi Prefecture, is located 840 km from Tokyo, far from the city center and surrounded by rich nature, including the Shimanto River.
Open-air art exhibition featuring works by various domestic artists at the "Old Forest Railroad Trekking Road" where visitors can enjoy the beautiful forests and fresh air that remain in this town.The Forest Art Museum.is being held in Shimanto, Japan. The 8-km trekking road becomes a museum, where visitors can enjoy the mysterious scenery of Shimanto's unexplored region and a wide variety of art all at once.
The lineup is also gorgeous. Manami Sakamoto, who has participated in Fuji Rock and Summer Sonic as a VJ and has provided video works for prestigious brands such as Fendi and Audi, and Yoshiaki Nakaichi, who has produced a variety of show movies, scenography, and art direction. Nakaichi, who produces various show movies and spatial productions as well as art direction, and 10 other up-and-coming creators.
In conjunction with this event, a tour of Shimanto Town and an artist-in-residence program at Iwamotoji Temple, the 37th temple of the Shikoku Sacred Sites, will be held. Participating artists will be added as needed.
