Prada is known for its strong ties to art. Founder Miuccia Prada is also an unparalleled art lover, and in 1993 she established the Fondazione Prada to introduce contemporary art. Prada has taken the lead in various art-related activities, such as holding exhibitions and publishing art books.
The exhibition we will discuss here is "ROLE PLAY", an exhibition supported by the "Fondazione Prada". First, to explain the meaning of the term "role play," this is a method of expression that creates an ideal character or scene and gets to the essence of the character or scene. Some of you may be able to grasp the nuances of this term when you think of the video game RPG.
This year's exhibition features photographs, videos, and audio works by up-and-coming artists in a light installation created by Random Studio, a creative agency. The works depicting imaginary characters and pseudo-worlds will be on display.
The six artists selected were five groups. Juno Calypso, Beatrice Marchi, Tomoko Sawada, Bogosi Sekkuni, and the unit of Haruka Sakaguchi and Griselda San Martín.

. an alter ego, an ostensible persona, an incarnation may be what one desires. Perhaps it is related to one's personal or cultural background or sense of otherness, perhaps it is a form of activism, or perhaps it is a means of empathy, of thinking outside the box and putting oneself in the other person's shoes."
The event will take place on the 5th floor of the Prada Aoyama store in Tokyo, and will run for about three months from Friday, March 11.
Once again, social networking sites, which have taken root in our daily lives, and the avatars of the "Metaverse" that are currently gaining momentum, can be considered as a form of "role-playing. It is human nature to want to make oneself look good, even if one has to make a slight alteration. This article reveals what lies at the bottom of our nature.
