Loewe's Spring/Summer 2023 collection, unveiled this past June, was covered in grass. . It is not a metaphor. Real grass was planted on shoes and clothes. According to the designer, the grass had been hand-grown for about three weeks prior to the show. It was an appropriate challenge for this season's "fusion of technology and nature" (or rather, a challenge to which one's hat is off to the designer).
The item on that runway that impressed me more than the grass was the cap. Notice the black.Previously introduced small leather goodsThe "Loewe patch" plays a byplayer role, as does the "Trifold Wallet", one of the "Loewe Wallets". The distinct unevenness is the result of the debossing process. The tone-on-tone patches are subtle but effective accents.
Black is the obvious choice for linking with small leather goods, but the blue and green caps with their textured surfaces are also hard to ignore. . The colors are so soft and gentle that they seem to blend in with any outfit.
The logo expressed in an uneven debossed finish is decorated on the front and sides of the cap. Scheduled to go on sale in early January . Each ¥52,800
