Burberry's coats boast deep-rooted popularity among the many standard items. Especially in the last few years, the market for used clothing has been reevaluating its value, and even items that are several decades old are being sold at high prices.
The pop-up store focusing on Burberry's trench coats will open at Isetan Shinjuku on the 2nd floor of the main building on February 8 (Wed).
One of the main attractions is the sale of vintage trench coats, 78 of which were made between the 1960s and 1990s, each with a numbered tag. Of course, there is no need to worry about the condition of the coats, as they have been carefully repaired.
Each ¥215,600
Not only this, but also a new Heritage Trench Coach lineup. These items are woven at the company's own factory in Yorkshire, England, and are made of a wrinkle-resistant structured bespoke gabardine.
The lineup includes the "Kensington" model, an archive model updated to fit the modern age, the "Waterloo" silhouette suitable for layering, the slimmest "Chelsea" and the classic car coat "Camden".
KENSINGTON LONG (BLACK)
KENSINGTON LONG (HONEY)
KENSINGTON MID (HONEY)
KENSINGTON WATERLOO (HONEY)
4 items each ¥324,500 (preliminary price)
In addition, personalized initial embroidery, patches, and buttons are also available. It is surprising that a craftsman from England comes to Japan for this service.
The space for this pop-up store will be designed by the Japanese creative unit SPREAD. It will be an immersive installation that represents the past, present, and future of the trench coat.
This is a rare opportunity to deepen your understanding of the historic brand of "Burberry" through trench coats. If you are interested in this event, please do not miss it.
