. In the field of art as well, as time progresses, we are seeing more and more diversity in the methods of expression.
Takanori Ichikawa's solo exhibition "DELUSIONAL murmur (#003)" will be held at "Gallery COMMON" in Harajuku for a month from February 10 (Sat.) to March 10 (Sun.), featuring his artworks using incense and Japanese paper, which are unique in the world.
Ichikawa has worked with top brands such as "CHANEL" and "TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. In this solo exhibition, Ms. Ichikawa's desire to capture fragile and fleeting moments is reflected in the works on display.

. This is the "Scorch Paintings" series, in which more than 60 different types of incense sticks of different temperatures and thicknesses are used to scorch Japanese paper without drafts.
Before creating a work of art, Ichikawa says that he creates a complete image in his mind before starting to paint. Although abstract, everything from the delicate touch to the margins is an inevitable aesthetic.

. and the "Scrape Works" series, in which the artist goes through the process of layering ink, watercolors, acrylics, and pastels on paper, and finally scraping off the layers of color to reveal the underlying image.
This careful, yet sensitive approach to creating works of art is the underlying concept behind Mr. Ichikawa's work.
Memories are expressed as works of art in order to transform anxiety about the fear of the disappearance of everyday memories into reassurance. Although an extremely subjective source of inspiration, , the casual moment is universal.
Along with the world view that Mr. Ichikawa embodies, you may want to think about fleeting moments that you do not usually pay attention to.
