Yohei Kobokawa's solo exhibition will be held at i GALLERY OSAKA.

Yohei Ogawa paints motifs that are abstract and light in mood, yet have a strong presence, such as stone buildings, gracefully towering palm trees, and large stones.

The light touch and subtle use of color in his work suggest a gentle spirit born from a dialogue between the surfer and nature.

Ogawa's solo exhibition will be held at "i GALLERY OSAKA" from February 3 (Sat).

The name "Kindness to the Eyes" is derived from Ogawa's desire to offer healing through art and to help people regain the hope they tend to lose sight of in the rough and tumble of reality.

On display at the exhibition will be new canvas works and about 30 or so bottles. In addition, there will beNOTEWORKS. and co-creation with .

Each of these images is based on childhood recollections of seeing a once-bustling town in decline, and expresses both anxiety about a reality that is difficult to change and hope for the future at the same time.

This is exactly what is linked to the current situation of confronting unstable times, such as the world situation, political tensions, the Noto Peninsula earthquake, airplane accidents, and so on.
