MODE" brings together internationally acclaimed artists from around the world and artists based in Asia who are active internationally to perform in Tokyo. This year, "MODE 2024" will be held again for nine days from June 1 (Sat) to 9 (Sun) at several venues in Tokyo.

On Saturday, June 1, at WALL&WALL in Omotesando, the curtain will be raised on a performance that will allow the audience to feel the transition of noise music.
Led by Japanese underground noise music legends Incapacitants, the 2010s' leading Danish experimental musician and composer Puse Marie and Tokyo-based composer Yuko Araki, who works internationally, will also perform.

. followed on Monday, June 3. The performance at Akasaka's Sogetsu Hall will feature cellist, composer, and improviser Okkyun Lee. She has collaborated with a number of major artists, including turntable pioneer Christian Marclay and Steve Beresford, who plays a wide range of instruments.
Sound artist Fujita, who has been based in Japan in recent years and is highly acclaimed in Europe and the U.S., will also perform a newly created live set for the first time. It is sure to be a delightful night with internationally acclaimed artists all gathered in a space with a historical background in Japan.

On Tuesday, June 4, the event's turnaround day, Norwegian saxophonist Bendig Giske will perform in Japan for the first time. Also appearing are Akira Sakata, one of Japan's leading free jazz saxophonists and a Daphnia researcher, and London-based avant-garde percussionist Valentina Magaretti, who will perform at Akasaka's Sogetsu Hall, as on Monday, June 3.
And on June 8 (Sat.)-9 (Sun.), "SOUND CEREMONY," a listening program to enjoy the experience of music in a living space, will come to a close.
