James Hilton's novel "The Lost Horizon" was published in 1933. Shangri-La," the setting of the novel, has become a popular term meaning an ideal world, like a paradise in the Orient. There is actually a town in Yunnan Province, China, that bears the name Shangri-La.
The theme for the Fall/Winter 2012 season of "Liberaders" is "Shangri-La. Inspired by the people and scenery in Yunnan Province, a collection was woven.
Yunnan Province is the birthplace of Mei Yong's father, the director of "Liberaders" . The area is famous for its many ethnic minorities, and Mei was told stories about the area from an early age. This collection is an attempt to unravel the roots of Mei Yong.
Furthermore, the choice of Yunnan Province as the location for the season was based on our feelings about the current world situation, which continues to be a time of conflict.
Yunnan Province is not one ethnic group, but many ethnic groups coexist. Furthermore, the people all live in harmony in an environment of other religions there. When we look at the world, we see that wars are happening. The reasons for these wars and the problems behind them are deep-rooted and difficult to explain simply, but I believe that many of them are caused by differences in values, such as race and religion. Yunnan Province is at a high altitude and has little oxygen, and the people living in such a harsh natural environment, transcending race and religion and living hand in hand, is truly a Shangri-La (an ideal world) on earth. I am glad that I was able to visit this place at a time when the world is in chaos, and I was filled with a feeling in my heart. (Mei Yong)
We would like to introduce you to the 1st drop of the Fall/Winter 2012 collection of the "Liberaders".
First, we start with the OG logo print T-shirt that has been a staple every season, made of 6.2 oz. jersey with a raised body and a faded finish to give it a textured look.
The graphic looks familiar, but this is a tribute to the title sequence of a certain movie company. Crossed with Meili Snow Mountain, located in Yunnan Province, the design playfully depicts the scenery of a seasonal location.
This one has "Liberaiders" in a very small font on the front and the original title of "Lost Horizon" on the back. It is a piece of clothing for those who know what they are talking about, and for the connoisseur.
One of the icons of the "Rive Raiders" is the photo T. This time, a photo of Umezato Snow Mountain taken by Mei himself is on the back. This time, a photo of Umezato Seoksan taken by Mei himself is on the back of the T-shirt.
The next T-shirt features the words "GO WHERE YOU FEEL MOST ALIVE" on the front and on the bag, which translates to "go where you feel most alive. The message is based on Mei's experience in Yunnan Province.
The 2-pack T, which has been popular every season, uses 6.5 oz. combed yarn jersey for the body fabric. The neck label is printed to eliminate stress on the collar, and other details have been carefully considered. It is available in two colors, white and black.
The lineup also includes three pairs of ankle socks with breathable knitting and two pairs of long socks with thick pile fabric.
The caps are also available in corduroy fabric in four colors. The brand logo is placed on the cap, giving it a corporate look.
The 1st drop of the Spring/Summer 2012 collection of "Liberaders" introduced in this issue will go on sale on August 9, 2012 (Friday).
