【HNF NEWS] Hui-Nam celebrates turning 20 in a big way! Here is a report on HNF, a festival in Hui-Nam.

This October, Huinum celebrates its 20th anniversary. We have been able to continue for this long period of time thanks to countless people, including our readers, as well as brands and stores involved in the production of the magazine. To express our gratitude, we held "HNF (Hui-Nam's festival)" last October 26 (Sat)! From the sale of items collaborated with Hui-Nam, to hands-on events, talk shows, and even a bingo tournament. Many people came to the event and it ended with a great turnout. Let's take a look back at the various contents that made the event so much fun!

Special shopping experiences only available at HNF.

HNF" has prepared a variety of contents to give visitors a firsthand experience of the "hip" people, goods, and things that Huinum proposes on a daily basis. The core of the event is the market. Brands and stores with a connection to Hui-Nam will open stalls and offer a variety of special items.

Huinamu's booth will sell special items made in collaboration with five different groups. These are Vans, FreshService, MIN-NANO, BROCHURE, and the Apartment. Each item is rich in individuality and has been infused with the essence of Huinamu, making this a work of confidence. The event was a great success from start to finish, with some items being limited editions that could not be obtained anywhere else.

Fresh Service, which has collaborated with Huinamu many times, has introduced a sweatshirt set-up. The top comes with a pillow. When you blow into the tube in the chest pocket, the air pack in the neck part expands and becomes a pillow.

The bandanas that Minnano collaborates with various stores and brands are now available in a new huinamu version. The motif is based on "Hachiman-dori," a street near the editorial office. For the sweatshirt, a horse was used in the design, based on the origin of the Huinamu name. The letters of Daikanyama, where the editorial office is located, are arranged in English, and a graphic resembling a college logo is incorporated into the design.

Mr. Tadayuki Kato of "Brochure" stood at the booth and interacted with readers who visited the booth. This time, we had him place a special order for a popular shirt from "Brochure". The moderately thick cotton tweed has a large silhouette and can be worn like a light outerwear. The brown color, perfect for fall and winter, is easy to use and will be an active part of your daily styling.

On the right is a model supervised by Huinamu of the "2-Eyelet" just launched by "Vans" this season. The instep is made of halaco and embossed with crocodile and ostrich for a high-quality, mature look. This pair, with attention to detail down to the coloring, blends in with all kinds of coordinates.

The beanie and hat on the left are a collaboration with "The Apartment's" original brand . The beanie and hat are based on the Pakistan beanie and bandana jungle hat released in the past, but arranged in brown.

Vans, which collaborated with Huinamu, also held a booth. A workshop was held to create original shoe tags by imprinting familiar logos and alphabets on leather. These are great souvenirs that can be customized by attaching them to your own "Vans" or used as key chains.

A game named "SKATE WHEEL SHUFFLE" was also held. The rules of this game are to slide the wheel of a skateboard and win original goods depending on where you stop. The game seemed simple, but it was difficult to find the right balance of strength, and everyone was enthusiastic about it. Even if you failed at all, you received a sticker as a participation prize.

Across from the Huinamu booth was the offline storefront of "B-Jin Market," a media-commerce store that carries items recommended by BEAMS staff. Yuichi Furuya sold lifestyle goods, Noboru Kikuchi sold camping gear, and Hideaki Makino sold running wear, carefully selected from among the popular staff's personal stores.

Because BEAMS is known for its lifestyle selections, especially wear, the "B-Jirushi Market" offers an abundance of items that are sure to bring you to your knees. The lineup included popular items specially ordered for "B-Jirushi Market," allowing visitors to directly experience a portion of the "B-Jirushi Market" that is usually available online.

This March, "stacks bookstore" relocated from Shibuya to Jimbocho, the largest used bookstore district in Japan. The store sold mainly self-published art books by various artists, so it was easy for people who had not touched books for a long time to pick up a book. The store also had a lineup of original mix CDs produced by DJ MURO and DJ HIGHSCHOOL, as well as original apparel, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the store's world view.

WEEKEND, a market event by creative director Keiji Kaneko, Daishi Nishino of NEAT, and Hiroyuki Oshima of HERILL, had not been held since the end of 2021, but was revived at HNF! The market was crowded right from the opening because the three highly fashion-conscious designers were selling off their personal clothing, and we are sure that you will love wearing a piece that you acquired after talking directly with the three of them.

And next to "WEEKEND" is "the formal". It was opened by Mr. Kaneko, a member of "WEEKEND," and the logo designed on the cap collaborated with "Boutiqe" and Huinamu this September was used as the store name. The formal cap, which sold out immediately, has reappeared in black, and the lineup includes a tote bag of the same design.

The Riverside Reading Club, a stray reading group surrounded by many mysteries, will also participate in HNF. There will be a selection of used novels, a hip-hop beat album to listen to while reading, and cushions essential for relaxing and reading. In addition, there will be original apparel. The Riverside Reading Club" was a place where visitors could get their hands on items from the Riverside Reading Club and encounter carefully selected books.

To be enjoyed by everyone, even outside of the market.

A stamp rally was also held at three locations within the venue. The jackpot was a pair of "All Star" shoes from MHL and Converse. The first prize is an "HNF" T-shirt, the second prize is a bottle of "REVOMAX" that can be filled with carbonated drinks, the third prize is a drink voucher that can be used at the Iichiko booth, and the participation prize is a bingo card and sticker for participating in the bingo tournament. Even as an adult, playing Galapon is exciting, isn't it? One of the winners of the first prize also visited the previous HNF!

The BEAMS booth included the "B Mark Market" and one other booth. HAPPY OUSIDE BEAMS, which promotes outdoor fun, held a mini-game of Molucco outdoors. Molucco is a sport from Finland that is popular with men and women of all ages, and HAPPY OUSIDE BEAMS is such a big proponent of the sport that they even hosted a tournament. On the day of the event, moluk sets were on sale at the "B Mark Market.

This time, the special rule is to throw three times and aim for exactly 15 points, and if you achieve it successfully, you will receive an original coaster. It is frustrating not to be able to knock down the pins as you wish, and it is super exhilarating when you are able to knock them down on target. This is a sport that requires no strength or stamina, so children will have fun too!

On the main stage, "G-SHOCK" held the public participation event "Tough Showdown! 〜Arm Wrestling Tournament" was held on the main stage! Participants who were confident in their skills put on their G-Shocks and competed to determine the toughest guy of the day. 8 people competed against each other in a heated and exciting tournament, and the top 3 winners were presented with luxurious G-Shock models. The top three winners were presented with a luxurious G-Shock model, and those who unfortunately lost were also given a bottle of REVOMAX as a participation prize. The winner was Jie-san (center photo). He was the most confident of all the participants in his microphone performance before the game, and he was right.

There are also spots to fill your stomach at the event. BALMUDA and Iichiko collaborated to set up a booth. On offer were tacos completed using BALMUDA's stainless steel hot plate "BALMUDA The Plate Pro" and Mexican fries using the "ReBaker," a toaster with a rebake function. These will be served with the "Iichiko Super" cocktail, which was also featured in the "Toast".

The meal was prepared by Jo Hoshi, owner of HOBO TACOS, a Mexican restaurant in Shin Nakano. Two types of tacos were prepared: carnitas (pork confit) and chorizo & potatoes, both of which went well with the "Iichiko Super" cocktail.

There will also be food trucks outside. HOT DOGGY, usually based at the B-Flat COMMUNE community space in Omotesando, will be serving hot dogs and salsa chips. The juicy homemade sausages are very satisfying and filling.

New Era (®︎) has set up a photo booth to preserve the memories of the HNF. Moreover, the photos will be printed with a special design featuring the New Era and Hui-Nam logos. New Era's new products were also available, and visitors could wear their favorites for the photos. In this day and age when we leave photos on our smartphones as data, it is nice to be able to receive printed photos. The three members of WEEKEND were also photographed.

Brompton, a British folding bicycle manufacturer, organized a group ride for a relaxed pottering tour. For about an hour, we cycled around the unique terrain of Shibuya, which has remained unchanged since time immemorial, including a tributary of the Shibuya River and a shrine on top of a hill.

At the booth, there was also a "Folding Challenge. The fastest person could fold a Brompton bicycle in 10 to 20 seconds once they got the hang of it!

On stage were two talk shows for fashion lovers. The first guest was stylist Yuta Kaji. The theme was "Styling Lecture - How to Walk in Body Brands. Mr. Kaji, who loves body brands, explained the origins and characteristics of each brand, which was very informative. The world of body brands is very deep and worth exploring, as even the same solid color has its own individuality in materials and silhouettes.

The second set of talk show guests were Keiji Kaneko, creative director, and Daishi Nishino of "NEET," who were standing at the "WEEKEND" booth. They answered readers' questions about what has been on their minds lately, their personal lives, and even fashion. As one would expect from these two men, their talk was light and witty, and they were in perfect sync. The event was also streamed live on Instagram for those who could not make it to the venue.

At the booth of Huinamu Running Club♡, craft beers selected at Token, a running station with sauna supervised by Huinamu Running Club♡, will be on sale. And from 16:00, the group run "Huinamu's festival guru run -SHIBUYA TO NIHONBASHI-" will start.

The goal from the Shibuya Sakura Stage is "Toto-Ken" in Nihonbashi Hamacho. More than 30 people, including Hideaki Makino, who was standing at the "B-Jin Market" booth, will run along the 10-kilometer route. Participants will receive a sip of beer upon arrival and a free hour in the sauna. They also received a bottle of "Revomax," which is compatible with carbonated beverages.

The HNF is drawing to a close, but a bingo tournament awaits you, where you can win gorgeous reader gifts. We have prepared 20 prizes in honor of our 20th anniversary with the cooperation of brands with ties to Huynem.

For example, heavy outerwear and collaborative sneakers. All of these items are truly gorgeous, true to their word. We had so many participants that we thought the event would end early, but although a number of people were reaching, bingo was not easy to come by. It was a very exciting bingo tournament. Congratulations to everyone who got a bingo and won a prize!

Sayosayo-san's imitations of Showa-era singers such as Shizuka Kudo and Hibari Misora are very similar.

Finally, HNF will be enlivened by a live impersonation performance. The impersonators belonging to DAIKON 2nd, an entertainment bar located on the first floor of the Shibuya side of Shibuya Sakura Stage, will perform impersonations of a variety of singers.

Doronko Heya-san has appeared on TV programs such as "The Too Detailed Monomania. He entertained us with his singing impersonations and humor of Elephant Kashimashi's Koji Miyamoto, Kenji Ozawa, and others.

Daisuke Niki is the general director of "Ritmodi Blib Blissun." The medley of the popular anime is as good as it gets!

DAIKON 2nd is a sister bar of the long-established imitation show pub "Ritmodi Blib Blissun" in Azabu Juban. All of the impersonators who performed at this show have also appeared at "Ritmodi Blib Blissun," so their skills in impersonation are well known. They were on stage at the top of their game, with their beautiful voices sounding just like the performers themselves, and their unique perspectives making us laugh with their recreations. This live performance of the song imitation ended the contents of "HNF".

HNF" was over before you knew it, and it was over in a flash. We hope you enjoyed it. Thank you to all the readers, as well as the brands, stores, manufacturers, and other people who have been supporting us on a daily basis, for coming to the event.

I will continue to introduce "hip" people, things, and events, and I look forward to interacting with you all again!
