BEAMS supervised the design of six representative Nissan models. Vintage denim details are reproduced in this special edition.

Last year, Nissan celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2023. In the spirit of "doing what others do not do," Nissan continues to pioneer the times and provide exciting driving experiences and innovative technologies that enrich people's lives through the power of cars and technology.

The first of these, the ROOX BEAMS CUSTOMIZED CONCEPT concept car based on the LUX, whose customization was supervised by BEAMS, was unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 in January 2024 and attracted much attention.

In response to customer requests for a commercial version, a total of six special edition models of the EXTRAIL, SERENA, NISSAN SACRA, LUX, NOTE, and DAYS, all wearing original designs under the supervision of BEAMS, will go on sale in limited quantities. Tadayuki Kato, the surf & skate buyer and director of SSZ at BEAMS, is in charge of designing this project, which is titled "DENIM TRIBUTE.

Reflecting the idea that "nothing truly good is inside out" in fashion, the most important point of the seat cover fabric is that it reproduces denim that has been turned inside out.

In addition, the vehicle's interior design incorporates the jeans' design, including the "red ears" on the seat, the "BEAMS" pistag and the large and small pockets on the seat.

The body color is set to harmonize with the design of each model. Accent colors for the front grille, door mirrors, aluminum wheels, and body sides are orange, which symbolizes BEAMS, and navy, which follows the denim theme.

The interior and exterior are decorated with the BEAMS logo throughout, creating six special vehicles that are subtle yet in harmony with fashion.

BEAMS pursues the coolness of everyday wear. Fashion has rules, but we have expanded the definition of cool by breaking those rules little by little.
These special edition models, which feature seat covers that reproduce the back denim, are a fusion of Nissan's accumulated know-how and the fashion aesthetic that resides in BEAMS, and we feel that we have created a project that resonates from the essence.
We focused on denim because we felt that it is an indispensable item in fashion, and that its greatest appeal is that the more you wear it, the more you get used to it, and that it is linked to the fact that the car is part of your daily life. In addition, in order to provide the same excitement as choosing clothes, many jeans designs are reflected in the seats, such as selvedges, patch pockets, and subtle accents such as pistags.
