I finally caught that one in Kasumigaura.

In the car, we shared information with each other about what kind of fishing we were doing and what kind of lures seemed to be good. This is also a good thing about doing a run in the same car. If we were on a boat, two of us would spend the whole day together, but when we travel by car, we can get together and get excited each time, which makes it more fun. If the fishing is good, we can take a break and go straight to lunch. We drove through the unpaved road and arrived at another point.

The prior customer, fishing for catfish, caught his fish while we were getting ready, giving us a hint of the fish. The river current and wind are good, and there is an inlet. The members of the group are fired up to catch a fish soon.
First, Mr. Miyazawa tries throwing a big bait. He says that at this time of the day, they are hiding under the hollow scaffolding.
Miyazawa: I caught a big bass here before when I was using a larger lure. It's a good place to catch them.
Mr. Kihara also uses buzz baits to lure fish to the surface near the shore.
Kihara: The bass bite here is aggressive, which makes for interesting fishing even during the day. They respond well to buzz baits here, so it would be nice if they would bite with gusto.

Ikemoto, who continues to throw Texas rigs, is targeting the scrubby areas around his feet.
Ikemoto: I see a lot of fish in the crevices of the rocks and it looks like I can catch them. I saw catfish being caught, and I don't care if they are not bass, I want to catch them anyway.
Ishii, who was using a no-sinker straight worm, said he felt a bite.
Ishii: I was moving slowly on the bottom when I got a jerky bite. It didn't bite, but I was happy to finally feel the fish's reaction. Next time, I want to touch a fish.

Komatsu, who had been sticking to a shrimp worm, switched to a straight worm after hearing the story. He was desperate to catch fish anyway.
Komatsu: I had tried many different worms and got lost, but I knew it was the straight worm. From here, I will throw it down.
But after that, everyone else didn't get any hits, and time was running out. Mr. Kihara attacked the area around the piles with O.S.P.'s Drive Shrimp and Dice Rubber. Mr. Miyazawa was walking and pulling a rubber jig to lure bass lurking around his feet. Then, the long-awaited hit came!

Here comes the catfish! Not only can you enjoy the strong pull of the fish, but they are also a specialty of Kasumigaura and are eaten with relish.
Miyazawa: I finally caught it. The moment it bit me, I knew it wasn't a bass. It has been a long time since I caught a catfish.
It wasn't the bass I was aiming for, but it was nice to finally catch a fish. After that, we persisted with our fishing, but there was no response. It might be a spin-off of fishing to spend a leisurely time talking about something trivial with the rod.
