Style as a running community.
Case 02. Trailing Running Club

Community has become one of the important keywords in the running scene in recent years. Communication is motivating, diverse information is actively shared, and it is creating a new movement in running, which tends to be stoic. We asked key members of this high-profile community to try on the latest HOKA models. How does this affect their style? We will explore the relationship between community, style, and running gear in two installments, one for the trail and one for the road, from the perspectives of each. In this installment, which focuses on the road, the "Trailing Running Club" is featured. In what ways do they resonate with the latest racing shoe, the Rocket X 3?

A group of friends who are passionate about running.

-What is the atmosphere like at practice?

Lazarus: We are not sloppy and tense, but we enjoy our practice. Afterwards, we are in harmony.

Masami: I also like the fact that they have a clear line between "on" and "off. During practice, she is serious about her goals, but afterwards she has a nice, fluffy smile on her face.

Lazarus: Mr. Otani was a competitor, so he understands the theory of running, and he explains the intent of the menu well before practice. I think it is only at Traing that you can train with this understanding.

-Training is a great way to get meaningful training.

Otani: I personally believe that there is not much difference in training menus, whether it is Hakone Ekiden, business team, or global. But it is the motivation for it and daily life that makes a big difference. The attraction of traing is the passion for running and the human power of the members.

Masami: Why is it that the members who participate in traing are all such nice people? I think it is because of Mr. Otani's good nature. I think it is because of Otani's good-naturedness. Even outside of practice sessions, we keep in touch with each other and have fun. Recently, we went for a run in the mountains and went straight into the ocean, which was a lot of fun.

Otani: We sometimes go out for drinks after practice, and it feels like a club activity for adults. I am glad that I have friends in Nagoya and Osaka, and that the friendship among the members is expanding.

-It is wonderful to meet friends who can enhance each other as adults.

Kitamura: I have made so many new runner friends since I joined Traingate. Before that, I had run with friends, but I had never met people of all ages, and it has been very stimulating. Because I have friends, there are moments when I can go one step further in practice.

Lazarus: One of the best things about joining TRAINING is that I have made new connections with runners. When I see friends who have the same goal and are working really hard, it motivates me to push myself even harder.

Shimura: I used to run by myself, just chasing time, but now that I have more opportunities to talk with adults at Trailing, I think my enjoyment of running has increased.

Public: I feel like I have another place where I belong now that I am in Trailing. It is a precious place where I can make friends with people who are different from my friends from the track and field team, and who I never had a chance to be involved with.

Kitamura: The members are of different ages and occupations, and have different goals to achieve. However, they are all serious about their goals. If I were to be too stoic on my own, I would suffer, but with my friends, I can enjoy myself.
