Fuinam: In the current sneaker scene, slim models like terrace-style and low-profile sneakers are popular, but is there still a strong following for chunky soles?
Miyazaki: It’s a deep-rooted issue. I think this is a model that will truly address it.
Fuinam: Plus, this one is all black.
Tokunaga: It’s all black, but it doesn’t feel monotonous. The mesh and panel accents create a three-dimensional effect and add a touch of style to the lower part of the shoe.
Miyazaki: The midsole is innovative, yet the upper has a certain nostalgic feel to it. That balance is really interesting.
Tokunaga: Also, while people tend to focus on the sole of the “On,” I think the way the upper is designed on this model is really clean, too.
Fuinam: By the way, does this fall under the performance category as well?
Miyazaki: While the standard “Cloud Swift” is geared toward performance, this model is geared more toward lifestyle. It’s capable of running, but its look is geared toward the city. That’s the positioning of this pair.
