04: ASICS SportStyle GEL-NYC
Its chic color scheme is a real highlight.
Fuinam: The fourth pair is the “GEL-NYC,” right? I get the impression it’s a signature model from the “ASICS Sports Style” line that became a hit right after the “GEL-KAYANO 14.”
Okajima: That's right. I think it's the model that best represents the current "ASICS Sports Style" line.

Fuinam: Nice color. It's not too sporty, so it looks like it would be easy to incorporate into your everyday outfits.
Okajima: This beige-gray colorway is a reissue of a shade that was released around 2023. It was popular back then, and it’s been well-received this time around as well. I think it’s easy for anyone—men and women alike—to wear.
Fuinam: There's also a color that includes black.
Fukuda: That one is a new color. Patent leather is used in the areas that used to be suede, giving it a fresh look.
Huynem: How comfortable are they?
Fukuda: They’re incredibly comfortable to wear. Compared to the “GEL-KAYANO 14,” the “GEL-NYC” feels a little stiffer—or rather, it offers more stability. The layered upper also provides a secure fit. Personally, I think the “GEL-NYC” is a good choice for long-term wear.
Fui Nam: The ASICS stripe on the side isn't too prominent, so even people who aren't usually fans of that style should find it easy to incorporate into their look.
Okajima: In Japan, quite a few people have preconceived notions about the ASICS Stripe. I think this model has the potential to change that image a bit.
Fukuda: Rather than making a bold brand statement, they just naturally blend into your outfit. Since they’re easy to pair with everyday clothes, I’d like people who haven’t tried the ASICS Sports Style yet to give them a try.
