Sometimes I do a run home. I get off the train and run to my home, which is about 10 kilometers away. One of my personal longtime staples is a pair of "Needles" track pants. I own quite a few pairs of track pants, from in-line to special-order items, and I buy several pairs each season. Now that I have all the color variations of pants I need in my wardrobe, I have been buying new ones since last season, which are patterned versions of these track pants. The 70's-like pattern, which evokes a sense of nostalgia, could be found in vintage jacquard pants, but probably not. Needles' skill shines through in this exquisite line. We got three patterns last season, but how many patterns will we get this season? It is hard to choose between check, hound's tooth, and geometry patterns, but I decided to go with the papillon pattern on the right in the photo first. I'm sure I'll end up buying the other patterns, though.

JOHN" is a famous store in Yoyogi Uehara, Tokyo, owned by Yuichi Danjo, a blogger of Huinamu. He chooses and arranges only what he likes at any given time, making it a mysterious store where you can always find something new. When I visited the shop the other day, I picked up this printed T-shirt and was admiring the beautiful black-and-white woman, when Ms. Danjo told me, "It's an illustration. I couldn't understand for a moment, and when I asked him about the details, he told me that in order to express not only the woman's expression but also each hair, he printed it with high mesh, which is finer than a silk-screening plate. I wondered who drew the picture, but was surprised to learn that it was actually the designer of a certain brand (unfortunately, he said he could not give out the name...).
