Arai:Goro, you haven't changed your style since long ago. To me, that is the most fashionable thing about you, and I learn a lot from you.

Nakatsu River:There may be some minor changes, but the basic style may not have changed. Of course, I don't wear clothes that I don't feel are in the right mood at the right time. For example, nowadays, I don't like to wear clothes with a lot of power. I don't wear clothes that have strong graphics or are hyped, because I am pulled in by the item. Rather, my current mood is to wear clothes that are just ordinary, in the size I like.

That's why I didn't put much effort into this collection (laughs). (Laughs) There are no technical gimmicks. But I simply wanted to make something catchy that people could wear casually and pick up without any knowledge of how to wear it.

Arai:This time you didn't use the "minnano" sign. I think that was very important. Usually when we collaborate with "minnano," it is mostly Goro's fans who come to the store and buy our products, but I think this collection is clothes that can approach people who are not fans of Goro. In the past, we would have limited the collection to "BEAMS T Harajuku," but this time, we are selling the collection widely, starting with sales at "BEAMS Harajuku" on Friday, April 16, followed by sales at "BEAMS Kumamoto" on Friday, April 23, and online, so we are quite enthusiastic about the collection. Goro mentioned earlier that "this time was a challenge," and it is quite a challenge for "BEAMS" as well.

Nakatsu River:I am a little concerned that we cannot directly reach the customers of Minnano, but I feel that we have more freedom now that we are free from that restriction. With a collaboration bearing the name of a store, you can't help but be aware of your own customers, but this time I was conscious of reaching out to a variety of people, transcending generations and genders. I would be very happy if there were customers who picked up the items simply because they were attractive, without knowing anything about me.

Arai:I like classic styles, but that's not enough for me. I wanted to add some quirkiness. I wanted something quirky, and these pants caught my attention. The overall pattern is unique by itself, so I thought I could create a different look by adding an item like this.

Nakatsu River:I just want to wear something big (laughs). It would be nice to have all the items in this collection, but it would also be nice to incorporate just one item, like Mr. Arai does. I don't care about rules and regulations. I think that even just one item of clothing can make a statement.

Arai:It is strange that it is assertive but not hard to match. So I don't think there is anything to worry about. And the fact that this is Cosby is interesting. I think a lot of people are concerned about batting when it comes to sports brands, but I think this will be a nice diversion.

Nakatsu River:You may have a point. Some people, including myself, don't like to mix brands, but in that sense, there are no restrictions at Cosby. It is good to incorporate one brand somewhere and have people say, "What's that? It's also fun when people our age say, "Why are you wearing 'Cosby'? It's also fun when people our age say, "Why are you wearing 'Cosby'? Personally, I am looking forward to seeing how the staff at BEAMS will wear this.

Arai:We wanted to handle this product because we thought it would be "interesting" to both the generation that knows "Cosby" like we do and those who don't. We also saw many different views, including the fact that Mr. Goro handled it. I could see many different views of the product, including the fact that Mr. Goro was involved in the production of it.

Nakatsu River:If this were a legendary brand, there would be a lot of fans, and I think there would be a lot of controversy (laughs), but this time I think I was able to take it in a simple, positive direction. I had a lot of fun designing it, and I'm really looking forward to the reaction.

Arai:Yes, I am. I'm quite looking forward to it.
