Maruyama:. I think the colors you choose and the way you hang them will depend on how you use them. For example, this key strap from Carhartt was used when I covered the demonstration in Hong Kong. I had assumed that the fluorescent vests were the uniforms of the press and that I would be able to buy them locally, but I was unable to prepare them because I had to go straight into the press coverage. . Maruyama:Basically, I use a Handycam to prevent camera shake during interviews, but there are times when I shoot with my smartphone. If I think there is a strange guy at the end of the street, I sometimes leave my smartphone's video app running and approach him while taking pictures. Nowadays, people use their smartphones in everyday life, and it is more unusual for them not to have a smartphone. . Therefore, I think it is not out of place to wear a colorful strap like this to intentionally stand out.
Maruyama:During interviews, I sometimes use a sub cell phone to take hidden pictures while I take pictures with a phone that is made to stand out like this. . I use the phone in different ways depending on the situation.
I see that you sometimes take hidden photos with your phone during interviews...?
Maruyama:There are many techniques, like using an app that looks like a movie but takes pictures. There are other ways to do it that I can't talk about here, not to mention silent apps (laughs). To be honest, once the photos are taken, it is often possible to publish them, depending on the negotiations that take place later. The most important thing is to ask openly if you can take pictures. Most of the time, that will solve the problem.
