Ms. Kanayama is involved in a variety of activities based on fashion, including production work for her own brand and videos, as well as communications advisor and casting business for clients. When asked about his title, he says, "Honestly, I don't know how to describe it (laughs)," his cheeks relaxing. The reason for his endless offers seems to lie in his sincere and friendly personality, which exudes from his smile and the way he speaks.

I myself want to do everything," he said. I want to do this and that, but the people who can do it for me are gathering around me more and more.
I'm not good at doing things alone in the first place, and I prefer to do things with others. I can send out information on social networking sites, but I can't take beautiful pictures like a photographer. . I would like to do video production, but I can't edit video. . I would like to do video production, but I can't edit video. On the other hand, there are a lot of professionals who are not yet in the limelight, but who are very talented. When I realized this, I thought that it would be better to divide the work into two groups, with me directing and the professionals editing, according to their strengths and weaknesses, and then multiply them together to create something more interesting. That is why we try to make videos as a team.
Many of Mr. Kanayama's creative activities, such as production for uploading to SNS and YouTube, remote meetings, and evening gatherings of friends to work together, are born in this room, which is both his home and office.
I think that proposals like "MET24" that are based on the premise of a lifestyle will appeal to the public at a time when the balance of work styles is changing. The theme I want to emphasize in my brand is versatility. Functional, wrinkle-resistant, easy-care, and easy to wear. I often wear jackets when I am on duty. On weekdays, I have many meetings and business negotiations, so I try to refrain from wearing collarless items. This one is black, so it's tighter, and through the monitor, it looks like wool, which is elegant. That's another good point.

Mr. Kanayama, who is also the director of a brand, has a unique insight that only a creator can have.
. Personally, I would like to focus on the number of pants models. With so many different jobs and ways of working, it is very convenient to have five choices, and I think there are people who have all five pairs and wear only these. Some people may have all five pairs and wear only these. They may even change the silhouette depending on their mood.
OFF STYLE
HARRINGTON JACKET × WIDE FIT
Perhaps it is because he is usually in his home office, but Kanayama says the line between on and off is fading away.

. "Since my hobby has become my job, my problem these days is that it has become difficult for me to change my mind. But I drink 5 or 6 cups of coffee a day, and maybe then I feel refreshed. But when I feel like, "Oh, I can't do this anymore," I make myself a cup of coffee! I can reset my mind with the gesture of making coffee when I feel like "Oh, I can't do it anymore! I think it would be convenient to have a coffee machine or something, but I grind coffee beans in an analog way. By doing this time-consuming task, I have time to avoid looking at my phone, and I am more inspired by my work at such times.

Do they usually change their minds with their clothes?
. Of course I do. For example, I often wear jumpsuits on my days off. It's not that I'm cutting corners, but lately I've been reaching for clothes that are easy to wear (laughs). Sometimes it's hard to think about this and that.
Despite this, Mr. Kanayama boasts of being one of the best communicators among young designers. How does "Edifice" look to him from his bird's-eye view of the current fashion scene?

. While they also offer beautiful leather shoes and suits, they also select comfortable everyday clothes like 'MET24. . The store covers a variety of genres, and I think that is what makes it a good multiplier. Recently, the number of people wearing sneakers has been increasing considerably, so this item is a very good suggestion.
We asked Mr. Kanayama, who himself is a big sneaker fan, what kind of shoes he would like to wear with them.
If I'm going to wear "MET24," I'll probably end up wearing "New Balance" on my feet as well. I can't think of many other shoes. For example, the 327s I just wore, or the classic 900s. Also, I like the "530. They look almost like run shoes, and they are quite dowdy, but I saw a guy from overseas wearing them with a black set-up, and it was surprisingly cool. It would definitely go well with today's styling.
