RED WING PT83 Engineer Boots
Suede is cooler when it has different textures," Doidi said.

Fujii:PT83 was originally a special order for "Backdrop," right?
Lambda:Yes, that's right. Red Wing originally only made leather shoes, but Backdrop made a special order for suede shoes for the first time, I heard.
Fujii:Even if the hem of your jeans ride up, you lower them so that you can see the buckle.
Doidi:Not so much to hold the ankle, but lowered enough to show it off?
Lambda:Oh yeah . It's a great special order. I didn't bring it today, but with the PT83, it's another 5 mm to 1 cm lower. They're just a bit too short, and look tacky on their own. But when you put them on, they look cool.
Fujii:The balance changes again with the size of the doji (laughs).
Lambda:This one also has a nice thin shaft. It fits my calves perfectly. So it doesn't fight with skinny denim at all.

Do you wear a belt?
Lambda:I'm tightening it the tightest. To the squeamish (laughs).
Fujii:Has the sole been reupholstered?
Lambda:. to the Vibrams. To Vibram . 83 was worn with the original sole, and 91 is this one.
Fujii:I don't have any, but according to those who do, the lines of the 91 are best when the heels are worn out. You see the heel of the lambda , it's worn out now, right?
Doidi:That's definitely cool when you put it that way.

Is this an active project?
Lambda:They're active, and I haven't worn them in a while, mood-wise, but I dug them out and tried them on a while ago, and now I want to wear them again (laughs). (Laughs.) But these have a nice fur, too, don't they? It's a messy look.
Fujii:. . there's a whole different pile coming here , and there's a whole different pile coming there. . I'm trying to keep everything in place now, because this would be considered a "B" product.
Doidi:But it's cooler if the textures are varied, not even, suede.
Fujii:So when I used to buy an Irish Setter or something, I used to have them show me everything (laughs).
Lambda:. I think this is good. . I think this is the fun of suede, or the depth of it.
If you were an engineer, would you wear Red Wing first?
Lambda:I guess it's "Red Wing" after all. ......
Fujii:It's a little bit hard to get a "Wesco" or something like that.

Lambda:In the 90's, when we went to school, there was no such brand as "Wesco" yet, right? At that time, it was either Chippewa or Red Wing. People who didn't have a lot of money would buy "Hawkins. Red Wing was the top-ranked brand, and I still love them. For western boots, I would say, "Rios and Black Jack are available, but I'm fine with Tony Lama. . That was my final destination, so I guess I don't need to forget that.
Doidi:I haven't worn western boots for a while . Tony Lama" and "Rios" were cool, weren't they?
Fujii:I guess so. Red Wing" looks good from the fall/winter season, doesn't it? It has an American casual look.
Lambda:Me, I'm thinking of reviving it in my own mind. Lately I've been a little tired of sneakers. You know Fujii wears "Guidi" sneakers, right?
Fujii:I only wear boots in the winter. They have to be closed with a zip. So, I can't wear these (engineer) boots.
Lambda:But these are pretty thin when you wear them, right?
. Even so, it might not fit the hem of a pair of "non-native" pants.
Lambda:. it's a narrow hem.
Doidi:Is it nashi to put inside?
Fujii:Nashi. . I'm short, so I don't have a boot twin.
