CHIPPEWA Square Toe Boots
Jill, it looks like something you'd see in a sander or something . Like this heel.

Lambda:Lastly, this is a vintage from "Chippewa" , but I'm not sure of the details anymore (laughs). Square toe, combat boots. Is this another "Backdrop" special order or something? This, the front leather comes out, relatively speaking .
Fujii:I had one of these for a while, too. This suede. It's a lineman, right , this construction.
Lambda:That's what I'm talking about.
Fujii:It's easier to hook, the toes. . when you're climbing poles and stuff. . because it's better for electricians to climb, because it's not round.

Doidi:No steel or anything in it?
Lambda:It's not in there . This is good, I really can't let it go .
When did you get it?
Lambda:I bought this one about 5 years ago on Yahoo! Auctions for about a throwaway price, like 5,000 yen , or 3,000 yen.
Doidi:I wonder if it's still available. This is nice.
Lambda:. maybe not the size of Doidi's (laughs).
Doidi:No or .......
Lambda:Maybe on eBay or something. I don't think it is distributed in Japan.

Fujii:I wonder if "Chippewa" is still made in the U.S.?
Lambda:. I don't know if there is a current one to begin with. The "Chippewa" brand itself. You don't see it anymore.
Fujii:It looks like something you'd find at Jil Sander's. . Like these heels. The current mode (of fashion) is so thick that it's almost too thick.
Lambda:Fujii often wears shoes like "Danner," and the laces of his mountain shoes come up to the front of the shoe. I'm not good at that.
Doidi:The pressure? The look?
Lambda:The way I look . I felt they made me look short. Engineers and "Timber" boots start a little higher, so they are easier to wear. But these are the only ones that I love and continue to wear. It's the same with women's feet and loafers, the wider the opening, the longer the legs look. The narrower the opening, the shorter the legs.
Fujii:What do these go with? Shorts again?
Lambda:I think these are skinny denim...I was also wearing 517 stretch or something like that.

Doidi:I like the round cord.
Lambda:When I bought it, it didn't have any string. So I went to Tokyu Hands and bought a waxed one. At first I thought about changing them to Timber laces, but they looked so cool and tight that I decided to go with them. ...... and, well, four pairs like that.
