Kaito-san, I have the impression that you often wear hoodies and sweatshirts.
Yes, I know. Sweatshirt season is my favorite and I feel like it's finally here. I have both thick and thin fabrics and use them differently depending on the temperature. Also, I think I wear rather a lot of colorful things.
Do you own a Champion sweatshirt?
I have a hoodie printed by a friend in Los Angeles, and I also have sweatshirts and T-shirts. Whenever I go to the U.S., I visit vintage clothing stores, and I also like "Champion" that I find there. I like the silhouettes with roomy armholes. The parka I wore today is not too loose. I'm 165 cm and wear a large size, and it's a silhouette I like because it has just the right amount of room.

Do you remember the first Champion you bought?
As I recall, it is a plain T. I bought it at "Champion" in Harajuku. I bought it at "Champion" in Harajuku.
You have many brands of plain T-shirts, but why did you choose "Champion"?
I am particular about the neckline of my T-shirts, and I thought Champion's binder neckline was a good choice. I always wear a necklace, but even if I tuck the necklace into the T-shirt, it looks just right. It is neither too open nor too closed.

The hoodie you are wearing is made of USA cotton with a rough texture and weighs 12.5 ounces. I think that makes it tough enough to be worn hard in the skate scene, but how do you feel about wearing it?
The thick fabric is crazy good. The ribbed sleeves are long, which I think makes it look a little more elegant. I usually wear clothes that are too loose-fitting, but the sleeves on this one are not too loose, so it looks sleek and clean. I don't wear big clothes that are too loose-fitting except when skating. But I want to wear this even when I'm not skating.

You often visit the U.S. Are you attracted to made in the U.S.?
I like items that have an air of America about them. If you ask me, "Which country do you like?" I often go to Oceanside, San Diego. I often go to the Oceanside area of San Diego, where skating is the main way of life, and it's easy to skate because skating is the norm there. And it doesn't matter what your skill level is, they are friendly just because you have a deck. It's great to see the people around you get excited when you land a trick. In Shonan, where I live, there are many people like that. Champion" is also an item like that, where anyone is welcome to wear it in any way they like. I guess that's why I end up picking up these items.
