How did you feel when you wore the BEAMS special-order quilted jacket?
The size may be different from the in-line quilted jacket I wore earlier, but it was slightly oversized and had a modern silhouette. The navy coloring made it easy to wear.

If I were to wear it, I might wear it with a knit.

It's cool! It's made of a stiffer, tougher nylon quilt than the inline, and the whole thing has a bounciness to it , and it smells like mode all the way around. It might look like something a collection brand would incorporate on the runway. Personally, I'd like to see this made into a product with a modern look (laughs). A revival might sell well, really.

Since the items are already complete, I think it would be better to add just a little nuance, rather than adding a great deal of flavor. For example, if it is a coverall, you could use corduroy for all of the material. Or, you could make the arms thicker and shorten the length, or create a silhouette that looks like old-fashioned clothes. Also, you could try to make it reversible, with different materials on both sides. The impression changes dramatically just by changing the material, so if you are going to make a special-order item, I would like to try something like that.
Q: How do you feel about the current trend in work items and the way people wear them?
I feel that the old "Shibu-Kaje" style of work, military, and American casual is gaining momentum. In this context, coveralls, G-jans, MA-1s, and the like are being recognized again, and I think the atmosphere is becoming more conducive to the incorporation of work items.
. For the younger generation, there may be a trend that items that look like staples are conversely looking fresh. For example, it may be more interesting to wear a pair of gauzy duck coveralls nowadays. ...... If you look at the trend in select stores, you will see many styles like " REDWING " with denim .......
