The silhouette is cool from the Genki ga Dare TV era.
What do you keep in mind when dressing for the occasion?
Takahashi:I like to wear sweatshirt set-ups with a sense of tension rather than loose and sloppy. I want to keep the sporty element, but still make it look fashionable. I try not to make it too off-style.
Do you have any particular size requirements?
Takahashi:I like the silhouettes of the late 80s and early 90s. I try to create a tapered silhouette with a softly rounded top and a bottom like a pair of pants. I am conscious of the "inattentiveness" in a good sense.

NB Sweatshirt The "1000 SERIES" oversized sweatshirt is like that, isn't it?
Takahashi:The dropped shoulders and a silhouette that is loose around the waist and slightly short in length were a great fit. The silhouette is generous around the waist, but the length is adjusted to be shorter. It's great to be able to choose according to your taste.
How do you feel about the fabric and comfort?
Takahashi:I like that it is thick but very lightweight. I usually wear heavy sweatshirts, but I sometimes feel that they are a bit heavy. That's why it feels even lighter. The fleece lining is not like a sweatshirt, but more like a fleece, so it is warm and comfortable to wear. Is the fabric cotton?
Mixed fabric of 80% cotton and 20% polyester.
Takahashi:With a 50/50 blend, the polyester expression comes out too much, but this one has the texture of cotton and is tough at the same time, which is good. If it were 100% cotton, it would be difficult to handle.

The 13 oz. heavyweight, lined fabric is a reproduction of vintage sweatshirts. To make it comfortable to wear, flat seams are used in areas where skin contact is a concern. According to Mr. Takahashi, "It has a luxurious feel. Reflector thread is used on the back side. The back has a subtle "N" stitched in.

Labels reminiscent of the motion control devices on the heels of New Balance shoes are sewn into the cuffs of the tops and into the hip pockets of the jogger pants.

The first "1300" shoe in the 1000 series was introduced in 1985. The military-style logo design expresses this. It's nice to have a one-pointed design like this," says Takahashi.
What kind of image do you have of "New Balance"?
Takahashi:I guess I feel like a dumb kid (laughs). I have a strong impression of America, and the sneakers are worn by very sophisticated people at good universities. I remember Mr. Clinton also wore them. I have the impression that these sneakers are worn by such high class people, and that they are clean and elegant.
Do you wear them yourself?
Takahashi:I also wear collaborations, and also "2002" recently.
But not with a sweatshirt?
Takahashi:I often wear it with slacks as a hassle.
I thought it was unique that you wore loafers this time. As you mentioned earlier, it is just right for expressing "inattentiveness.

Takahashi:Beat Takeshi did the same, and Hiroki Matsukata also wore such an atmosphere. I thought the silhouette of the Genki ga Television era was cool. I feel a sense of Japanese nostalgia for the elegant yet mischievous look reminiscent of Roppongi and Nishiazabu of that era.
A: By combining the style of those days with these clean sweatshirts, you have created an outfit that is nostalgic, but also modern.
Takahashi:I have an image of people wearing sweatshirts back then. So I thought it would be a good idea to wear a polo shirt with this kind of sweatshirt setup. I think you should try it on while thinking about what kind of character you want to create. Because it is minimalistic, it is easy to see the difference by making really minor differentiations.
By the way, why did you choose white?
Takahashi:It is because it is the color that should not be stained the most. That is why, even though it is a sweatshirt, it creates a sense of tension. While trying on sweatshirts from various brands, I always try to buy white first. My own brand is also made in white. I have to wear them delicately, so they don't look sloppy. That's where a sense of cleanliness comes from. That is why I prefer to wear white when I am on duty.
