. 28 years old, born in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture. She joined "Nordisk Camp Supply Store" in June 2021. . He used to work at a select store that also carried outdoor brands. He enjoys cooking, and on his days off, he enjoys making snacks and drinks after lunch. The latest snack he made was "Sukiyaki-style stew.
Do you go camping these days?
Hosoda:I haven't been able to go to this restaurant since it was built (September 2021). I'd like to go there soon.
Who did you go with before?
Hosoda:I went with a group of people from my company. It was a day camp, but we all brought our own delicious meat, and it was quite a luxurious camping experience. After all, camping is all about the meat (laughs).
How long have you been camping?
Hosoda:I only recently started in earnest, but I was born and raised in a place surrounded by mountains and the sea, and it was only a 10-minute walk to the campground. So, it has always been close to me.
Are your tents made by Nordisk?
Hosoda:Yes, it is. People often say that it looks hard to assemble, but once you get used to it, it takes about 10 minutes.
Do you have a favorite camp site?
Hosoda:. I guess I'm mostly in the Sagami Lake area. . But I would like to visit the "Suigen no Mori" (Water Source Forest), which was created by Mr. Kobayashi of "Mountain Research" and was covered several times in HOUYHNHNM's, someday.
What do you do on your days off?
Hosoda:I often take a walk in the morning, start cooking from there, and have a drink around mid-afternoon. My partner also likes to drink. I like to get tipsy and spend time watching Amapura and Netflix. Recently, I watched "Gremlins". Gizmo , it was cute.
Are camps still popular?
Hosoda:As far as things are concerned, there is a sense that we have probably gone through the process of getting new people started. However, even if you buy and buy and buy, you still want new gears. I think this is a good place to start. We have a lot of rare gears, so we are waiting for you!

Born in 1989, he is 32 years old. He has been with "Ogawa" for 4 years. Before working as the manager of the Shibuya PARCO store, he worked at the flagship Shinkiba store of OGAWA. Recently, he has been so busy with work that he has not been able to go camping. . His routine on his days off is to look for antique gear at recycle stores.
You are dressed in a rugged outfit today, but is this the same style you wear when you go camping?
Watanabe:I may not choose very functional wear. Most of the time, I go with a style like today's. . I often wear "Paraboots.

Watanabe:I've always been in the theater. . so I would like to invite readers to come to the store just to hear my voice (laughs).
When did you start going outdoors?
Watanabe:I was around 26 years old. I had always been an indoor person, but when I was invited to go camping, I really enjoyed it. From there, I was hooked.
Do you use your own tents there as well?
Watanabe:Of course they are. OGAWA tents and tarps are really carefully made. They are thicker and heavier than the fabrics used by most manufacturers. . And, since they are made in Japan, they are optimized for the Japanese climate. The mesh of the insect repellent is fine, and the structure is designed to allow moisture to escape.
Why do you go camping?
Watanabe:Stress relief. . I heal the tiredness of the city with nature. I like bonfires, eating, but I also like to look at the stars. I am a romantic... (laughs).

Do you camp?
Honma:We have not had many opportunities to do so....
I think Mr. Homma will be able to serve the customers from a different angle, although it is natural that there are camp lovers.
Honma:. I have the knowledge, so I can serve customers just fine (laughs). Polar" has many unique designs, so beginners can easily pick up a product. Even people who don't camp at all are welcome.

Honma:The motif is a fir tree. They are used for Christmas trees. In Oregon, where POLAR was born, fir trees are a specialty.
What do you do on your days off?
Honma:I do not go outside. I am mostly at home , and I don't exercise. . basically, I play with my cats and read.
When you say "reading," what kind of reading do you do?
Honma:Recently I found the book "Insights I gained in my 20s" interesting. It is genre-less and I have been binge reading it.
I see that you also cook.
Honma:Sometimes they ask me, "Do you cook?" They ask me, "Do you cook?" and when I tell them, "I cook exactly what I look like," they go, "Oh. In a way, I don't disappoint them. The last sanshoku-don (three-colored rice bowl) I made was so tasteless that I was a bit surprised myself (laughs).

Retail Manager overseeing all Red Wing stores. This is his seventh year with Red Wing. He is a big drinker, going out for drinks five times a week before Corona. His home ground is Ebisu. He has recently taken up running again after a long absence, and is currently training to get out on the trails.
Red Wing's popularity has been on the rise again.
Kawaguchi:. The popularity now is a bit different from the boom when I was in my 20s. There is the reason that they are cool, but there are also many people who come to our stores looking for something they can use for a long time, perhaps because of the Corona. I also feel that younger people are less inclined to buy disposable items.
. Younger people are better informed, so they are quick to catch on to trends.
Kawaguchi:It really is. I was not aware of such keywords as "sustainable" and "eco-friendly" when I was a student, but I am amazed at the fact that they are being used in such a manner.
How long do people wear Red Wing shoes?
Kawaguchi:On average, our customers wear our shoes for about 15 years. Since we make our shoes on the assumption that they will be used for a long time, we also assume that they will be repaired. So, we replace the soles and re-sew the stitches, and they are cherished by our customers. Recently, I feel that more and more women are becoming aware of their backgrounds in manufacturing.
Have you actually been to the factory in Minnesota?
Kawaguchi:Yes there is...I think it was 2017. Red Wing is the name of the city, so the gas station, the pottery maker, the city hall, everything is named Red Wing.

Kawaguchi:Yes, that's right. Also, some of the workers at the factory were craftsmen who had worked there for generations since my grandfather's time, and I remember being quite moved by their work.
Kawaguchi-san, do you go camping?
Kawaguchi:I don't go camping, but I have many customers who are campers. I don't claim fire resistance, but leather doesn't burn easily, and the flat sole is stable even on gravel, so I think they are popular.
