AQZAWA confesses. What a disappointment this Tokyo Marathon 2021 was.
AQ:I was very happy with the weather and the satisfactory record of this year's Tokyo Marathon 2021, but there was one regret.
Enomoto:Hmm? What happened?

AQ:It was right after the finish. As I was walking through the gate and following the directions, I saw volunteers handing me various things.
Yamamoto:Yes, I received a poncho for warmth. I received a poncho for warmth and a bag containing Pocari Sweat and lunch packs.

AQ:I thought I didn't need the bag, so I didn't accept it and let it go through.

Yamamoto:Huh? There were medals in that bag, too.
AQ:I heard about that later. I thought they were going to hang the medal around your neck?

Enomoto:In past years, they did, but this time they informed us that they had stopped wearing them around their necks to prevent infection.
AQ:I see. ....... I have a collection of finisher's medals. The Tokyo Marathon was a great event, but my only regret is that I didn't get a medal. It was my own fault. Oh, it's so frustrating (laughs).
Yamamoto:By the way, AQ, what are your future goals?

AQ:My time this time was 3 hours 05 minutes, so next time I will aim for 3 hours 03 minutes.
Yamamoto:Shorter by 2 minutes? I'll chop it up (laughs).
AQ:It's hard to shorten it by 2 minutes. And after that, I will finally aim for sub-3. If I wanted, the ideal stage would be Tokyo.
Enomoto:I can think of no better place than Tokyo to set the stage for achieving the big goal of a sub-3 marathon. I hope to run the Tokyo Marathon again next year.
AQ:I want to run. I want to achieve my dream of sub-3 there. And I want to get a medal this time (laughs).
