Be selfish because you love it.
-Let's talk about the items now. First of all, is there an item in "F.A.F." that you are particularly attached to?
Kazuho:I know that many people play at home, so I made my first pair of pajamas at F.A.F. so that I could relax. Incidentally, the slippers and hat also have the same pattern. We used the "Apex" logo, but the logo alone doesn't make it look like a game, so even people who don't play "Apex" will find it easy to wear.

-You also make key rings.
Kazuho:I like it very much. I was thinking that if I had to have just one of the "APEX" items, it would be the "Phoenix Kit".
-What kind of item is it?
Kazuho:It restores all my HP and shields...you don't need two of them, but you must have one.
Matsushita:It is nice when things in games become three-dimensional objects.
TEITO:Amazing reproduction.
Kazuho:We often make key rings at F.A.F., and I used a "gun charm" motif that can be attached to a gun in a game as a motif.

-You have also dropped items into the cushions.
Kazuho:This one is a "shield battery. This item restores shields. It is about the size of actual size.
Matsushita:This is also good. I would like to have three of these items lined up on my couch because I use them so often.
TEITO:This is another item that is definitely needed.
-I see that "Bot" also makes slippers.

Matsushita:Nice heel design. It makes me want to step on it.
TEITO:The ults (Ultimate Abilities) of the legendary Octane is a "jump pad" that allows him to jump high. I thought it would be interesting to have it placed on the heel, so I designed it.
Kazuho:I like the caps.
TEITO:The cap is embroidered with the "CHAMPION" that is displayed when the player wins first place in the battle royal mode. The image was inspired by the champion caps worn by the winners of the F1 Grand Prix.
-It is a design that even those who are not doing "APEX" will want to wear.
TEITO:The body of the T-shirt is the original one that "BOT" always uses.

-The T-shirt has a selection of graphics showing Horizon and his son together.
TEITO:There is an event in Horizon, and when you go to a certain place, a movie is shown. It was great to learn about Horizon's past there, so I wanted to use the graphic of him with his son Newton. I was very selfish and managed to get them to let me use it.
Kazuho:That's right. I really wanted to use the Valkyrie material for the "F.A.F." long T-shirt, and I managed to get their approval.
TEITO:I asked them to do a four-color silk screen print, and I was also allowed to make some selfish requests in the production process. I am very attached to this T-shirt.
Matsushita:This T-shirt in particular had even the management of "EA" rolling their tongues. They said, "You're going to use this? They said, "You can't go wrong with this! The American headquarters also seemed to like it, since "Apex" also emphasizes the story of each character.
TEITO:I am glad to hear that.

-The cushion uses the "APEX" logo.
TEITO:I thought it would be an interesting shape for a cushion, so I made a cushion that follows the form of the logo. You can display it, or you can actually use it because your back hurts when you play. It fits my neck perfectly, too.
-The designer of the "Special Guest" also says, "I aimed for an item that can be worn on a daily basis, not just as a game item.
TEITO:When you put them side by side, you can get a sense of the "special guest" character.
Kazuho:I like the hammer badge.

-Hammer badges are earned based on the damage inflicted in a single play.
TEITO:In the "Special Guests" graphic, there is a character called "Mr. Special" who is holding a hammer. I think it is linked to that.
Matsushita:This T-shirt was also a goofy one.
-It's a T-shirt with a design of a death box that contains the possessions of a player who has been killed.
Kazuho:I wish I could have used the death box in my design.
TEITO:It looks like I was being selfish with this one too (laughs).

-It's selfishness because of love.
TEITO:Open-collared shirts are also good. Even if we were to make apparel for official goods, I don't think we would make open-necked shirts very often. This kind of item can only be made in collaboration with an apparel brand.
Matsushita:Mizumura was also hoping for items not found in the official merchandise.
-How do you look back on this collaborative project?
Kazuho:I feel more happy when I see the real thing in front of me. I was able to make something I wanted to wear both at home and outside.
TEITO:It would be great if pro players and distributors would wear it too. Especially overseas, where fashion and games intersect, I hope it will resonate with fans of both. Above all, it was a collaboration that I enjoyed myself.
Matsushita:With these three brands, I am not worried about the response from fashion lovers, but I am concerned about the reaction from "APEX" fans. But I think they will definitely be pleased. The designs and lineup were made possible by the fact that the three designers are all working on "APEX," and when "APEX" fans see them, they will think, "You know what you're talking about! I am sure that "APEX" fans will think, "You know what you're doing!
