Sources of inspiration exist everywhere.
-What do you think of the current style?
Uchiyama:In terms of shoes, they are low-tech. Asics is also using models from its archives in collaborations with collection brands, which is interesting. Globally, tech-related items are in season for apparel, so low-tech shoes paired with tech pants and short-length outerwear would be very current.
It's not counter-culture, but since the silhouette of pants is gradually narrowing from wide to narrower, I think it's fine to go all the way to the narrower end of the spectrum.

-Where do you get your fashion information and styling inspiration?
Uchiyama:. I still get most of my information from social networking sites such as Instagram and Pinterest. . For styling inspiration, I sometimes refer to street snaps or runways during collection season. Styles released by high brands come down six months or a year later, so by checking them out, I can incorporate them into my styling ahead of time.
-. Since Mr. Uchiyama loves vintage clothing, it is likely that he will be inspired by vintage clothing stores as well.
Uchiyama:I don't use the styling as a reference, but vintage clothing stores are very knowledgeable, so I often learn by asking about the roots of items and brands. I can't match my mentor, Ryota (Yamada), in terms of the amount of knowledge, so I study every day.
. -they are often inspired by women's styling and items.
Uchiyama:Yes, that's right. Men's theories are the base, but women's color matching has something that men's fashion doesn't have, so pops and such are very helpful.
-Are there any other references?
Uchiyama:. I look at photo collections and use them as reference for color matching. I also refer to the excellent use of color by tribes living in Africa in painting their faces and bodies. The way they match necklaces and accessories is also amazing. Since they are African tribes, they live in a world that we cannot imagine, and they use colors that are found in nature in combinations that we cannot imagine, so they are a good reference for us.

Early fall style is balanced by length.
New Balance "BB550

The BB550 is a reissue of a basketball shoe for competitors released in the 1980s. New Balance has many high-tech designs, but this low-tech look is easy to match with any outfit. One of the key points is that the sole is raw, but everything is white, even the logo. ¥17,600
Uchiyama:New Balance" is another brand that I don't often wear myself. However, I chose the "BB550" for this occasion. If you like vintage clothes, you may know that a raw-colored sole gives a somewhat vintage look, doesn't it?

Bedouin: CPO shirt ¥26,400, Jim Context: zip-knit blouson ¥39,600, shorts ¥30,800, Cyrus: T-shirt ¥4,950
Uchiyama:. I personally suggested a long-sleeve x shorts look that I want to try in the fall. The checkered pattern is a street-style ombré check, and the shorts alone would not look good, so I paired them with a set-up. Moreover, this set-up is knit, so it can be worn with elegance. The set-up alone was not enough, so I added a wool CPO shirt as an outer layer. The overall color palette was earthy, so the white on the feet added a little lightness. I chose yellow for the innerwear to add a touch of color.

-Nike's "Jordan Series" continues to be popular at Styles.
Uchiyama:. I think it's cool, but I feel like it doesn't suit me, so it's a path I haven't really taken. . But recently I have been interested in it, and since I like vintage clothing, I really want to buy originals. But original clothes are expensive, so I can't go down that road (laughs).
-How about trying it on?
Uchiyama:I have been avoiding it because I didn't want to eat it, but this color might suit my style surprisingly well. . However, the volume of this item may make it difficult to choose pants.... But after trying it on, it looks surprisingly good.

It adds a playful touch to neat items.
Nike "Air Jordan5

The Air Jordan 5, released in 1990, was a masterpiece by Tinker Hatfield, the genius designer at " Nike. It was the first model in the series to feature the Jumpman logo on the outsole, which is another reason for its popularity. The retro series is now reissued in a burgundy color that is perfect for the autumn streets. ¥33,000
Uchiyama:The "Air Jordan" is a sneaker that I have not come through, but even if I don't wear it, I can match it with my styling. Basic colors would be boring, and I would dare to choose a color that is unique.

(Jim Context) knit ¥39,600, (New Balance) game shirt ¥10,560, (Pam) pants ¥38,500
Uchiyama:Elegant knits are not interesting when worn with beautiful items, so we dared to drop them into the street. . A football game shirt is inserted around the neck as a glimpse. As for the pants, if I had worn slacks with this top, it would have looked very classy at once, and I wanted to keep it streetwise, so I chose cargo pants. The silhouette of these cargo pants is cute, like balloon pants, and I think the brown color switch gives them a unique look.
Styles" offers not only sneakers, but also a wide range of apparel from sports brands to maison, like the items selected by Mr. Uchiyama this time. You can coordinate not only your feet but also your total look, so why not find the perfect styling for this fall?
