What if those five wore the new Elle El Bean. Part I

L.L.Bean Japan Edition" retains the classic American mood, but has been arranged so that it is easy for Japanese people to wear. This collection is worn by people who are active in their daily lives. How does L.L.Bean's functionality and designs tailored to the Japanese lifestyle fit into their daily lives? We will follow the affinity between the two collections over the course of the first and second parts.
In the first part, five models with rich personalities appear, including a model who likes bicycling and mountain climbing, a chef who loves fishing, a multi-talented model, and even a vintage clothing store owner who collects the brand's archives.

She started her career as a fashion model, appearing in magazines and advertisements while also working as an actress. Tanaka:I often come here when I want to refresh myself. I have a favorite eyeglass shop and vintage clothing store nearby, so I often shop there and stop by here as well.

Do you often relax on your days off?

Tanaka: I don't like to take time off (laughs). I am very active, and I think to myself, "What if today is my last day? I want to do what I want to do without regret.

I've worked as a model, actress, and illustrator.

Tanaka: I have been drawing pictures since I was a child, so in a way I feel that modeling and acting came later. In a way, I feel that modeling and acting came later, because they are both expressive jobs. I can come and go from one place to another, and each job gives birth to different ways of thinking, which in turn leads to a richness of expression. That's why I feel very fulfilled right now.

I feel that such a positive mindset is also reflected in your fashion.

Tanaka: I want to enjoy myself the most, so I try to choose what suits me best. If I can't be honest, I can't enjoy a good time, and I can't bring out my charm or the good qualities of the other person. Therefore, I like clothes that make me feel relaxed and also make me feel good about myself. I also like clothes that are made of good materials and that pursue quality, and I am attracted to the stories that are put into the items.

How do you like L.L.Bean Japan Edition?

Tanaka: I've only worn them in vintage clothing, but I'm glad to be able to wear them for the first time in current items. Especially these fleece pants are great! The silhouette is not too thick or too thin, and I like that they are straight. I like that the knitwear is voluminous and has a pattern, so it can be worn alone. But I wanted to show my own personality, so I wrapped a bandana around my neck.

Do you have anything in mind when dressing in men's clothing?

Tanaka: Wear it dowdy and menswear-like. L.L.Bean Japan Edition" was the perfect size for me. When I go out on a date, I wear a dress. I enjoy the gap between the two (laughs).
