No.3 Yosuke Yokata
PROFILE
After working at a vintage clothing store in Harajuku, he became an independent vintage dealer and opened his own store, Astrology Store, in Gotokuji in 2021. The lineup is centered on American vintage clothing, but the charm of the store is its seamless structure in a good sense that you can't help but pick up unique accessories and look at them.

It's new but very classic. I like the gap between the two.
I have the impression that "Astrology Store" has a lineup of many outdoor items.
Yogada:. maybe. It was a time when my life was changing in many ways, with the Corona disaster, my commuting by bicycle, and the birth of my own child. . I thought about how it would be nice to be able to go fishing or mountain climbing with my child when he or she grows up in the future. I had always liked outdoor activities, and that's how I started to look at outdoor-related products.
Are there any particular items that you are consciously collecting?
Yogada: It's from around the year 2000 or so. I have been consciously collecting items from that era since the opening. I like classic items, but it was items from that era that seemed fresh in terms of design, and many of them are functionally interesting as well.
L.L. Bean is a familiar brand to vintage clothing stores, but what is your impression of the brand?
Yogada: I have always loved them, and for a while I had a huge collection. I used to collect so many that my house was filled with "Elle Bean" (laughs). (Laughs.) When I went to the U.S., I saw so many of them. People on the street were wearing "L.L. Bean" jackets, and although it was an outdoor brand, I really liked the way it seemed to be more popular, or more at home in the American household. I have the impression that you are open-minded, and that you are flexible in creating a variety of items.
What did you think of the L.L.Bean Japan Edition?
Yogada: I thought it was interesting that they made new clothes while sampling items from the past. However, there are retro details like old clothes here and there, and I have the impression that many of the items are easy for me to wear as well.
What do you think of the denim shirt and cardigan?
Yogada: The cardigan is made in a special knitting method that is often seen in vintage clothing, and as a vintage clothing lover, I was impressed by that (laughs). (Laughs) I selected the denim shirt because I thought it would go well with the cardigan. Both of these items are new, yet very classic. I like the gap between the two.
Do you have any tips on how to coordinate?
Yogada: I think I'm wearing an L.L.Bean Japan Edition outfit with a vintage L.L.Bean hat (laughs). (Laughs). I am conscious of coordinating with American daily life.
