-The trademark blue hair matches the color of the T-shirt, and it looks great.
Thank you very much. Since my hair is flashy, I usually choose T-shirts with simple designs and colors, but this T-shirt had a lovely bright blue color, so I decided to use white for all the other items to make it stand out.
How did you feel when you tried on the T-shirt?
The print was a little worn, and even though it was new, it had a cute vintage T-shirt-like texture. This is more like Sonic Youth than wearing a new one with a smooth look.

-I guess so. Did you like Sonic Youth?
Yes, I did. I knew about it when I was a student, and at the time I just kind of liked it, but I didn't really delve into it that deeply. But when I had time around the time of the Corona Disaster, I was listening to all kinds of music, from new music to what I liked in the past. Then I listened to Sonic Youth again, and I thought they were really good! I thought. I still listen to them quite often and watch their live videos on YouTube. So when I was asked to participate in this shoot, I was happy because I felt like it was fate that I was going to be asked to do it.
-Amazing timing! Good for you. What do you think is their appeal?
This, this, this! I feel like I'm in the mood for something. I feel as if it expresses the inner things that lie dormant in the depths of my being. That's why I feel so good listening to them, including their sound and live performance. I listen to other noisy bands as well, but I think that the laziness and the feel of the guitars really resonate with me now.

-There is an atmosphere that can only be found in Sonic Youth.
That's right. It is difficult to create that worldview, and I admire it. I am also influenced by this band in my own songwriting, and I respect them a lot.
The T-shirt you are wearing today is the T-shirt used in the artwork for the album "Washing Machine" released in 1995.
The Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Stars. '". When I first heard the second song on this album, "Bull in the Heather," I was struck from the moment the intro guitar sounded. I love everything about it, including Kim's languid singing style. After hearing this song, the album became my favorite.
