Afternoon when the fishing gradually began to pick up.
After noon, the sun peeked out once in a while and the temperature exceeded 25 degrees Celsius . Perhaps the activity of the bass increased, and they gradually responded favorably. Nishikata-san of "BEFORE YOU WAKE UP" caught two fish during this time.

Riding along with Mitsuhiro Matsumoto, who is the creator of the lure brand "Lascivious," was model Hiroki Okamoto, who said that although he fishes for sea bass, this was his first time fishing for bass. Like Matsumoto-san, he was enjoying topwater fishing.
Matsumoto: Hiroki , you said you had never used a bait reel before, but you got used to it right away. I think I'm going to get at least one shot. . The conditions are bad, but the fishing is usually fun.

Okamoto: I am a beginner , but I am aiming for the championship! I am learning a lot from Mr. Matsumoto, who is teaching me how to fish with the tops. And Mr. Matsumoto is very interesting to talk to, so it is fun just to talk with him!

Yasutaka Saisu runs ARMS Clothing Store, a vintage clothing store with three locations in Yutenji, Shimokitazawa, and Aoyama. He usually specializes in topwater lures, but on this day he was enjoying using a different type of lure.
Saisu: I'm throwing tops with old tackle , but also spinnabes, cranks, and other windings. Also, I borrowed a SWAGGER so I'm throwing a down shot as well. I'm not used to it so I can't get a feel for it ( lol ). It's been about 3 years since I've been to Turtle Lake . I haven't been here much so it's fresh. It's interesting because there are so many points.

Kinjo: . I had a bite upstream a little after noon. I put a Bottom-Up Scooper Frog Magnum in the drift, and it hit me from below. I was so excited I could hear it. I was so happy when I got a report on line. I was happy when I got fishing reports on line! I thought.

Nakao: I was throwing a magnum crank or some other type of windlass with heavy tackle, but there was a lot of floating debris, so I switched to a jig. I also free-rigged with a larger worm. I was using a 7-inch Depth's Rebound Stick. The wiggling motion seems to catch fish really well.
