Interesting collaboration between different industries.

Tom Works is a made-to-order denim brand that was born in 2020. Inspired by vintage workwear, this up-and-coming brand continues to produce products with an elegant atmosphere, but now we have received news of a very interesting collaboration, and as a lover of oddities, I had no choice but to pick it up. The collaborator is, to my surprise, Yamaha Motor. Although the two companies are in very different fields, they share a common interest in "monozukuri" (the art of making things), and this collaboration was realized. The jumpsuits are filled with antique elements that are characteristic of "TOMWORKS," with D-pockets inspired by riders, action pleats and cinch backs on the back, and classically designed patches on the elbows and knees with copper rivets, creating a finish that resembles a work of art. The D-pocket is a great way to spend a day on the bike. It would be great to ride a motorcycle in this.... I don't have a license. Simple is good, though.

I guess it is only recently that I started wearing berets. When I was younger, I felt like I was growing up too tall to wear one, so I couldn't afford one, but when I tried it on, I found that it blended in surprisingly easily. I wish I had started wearing them earlier. However, I was getting a little tired of the simple ones. That's where this masterpiece by Lorail, "ERIDAN," comes in. As you can see, the entire design is decorated with vintage patches, which is said to have its roots in the shepherds of the old Basque region. Since it was difficult to tell the difference if everyone wore the same beret, each family and village wore a different patch (coat of arms) to identify their affiliation. It is unusual for Fig Belle, which often produces items made of high-quality cotton and denim, to produce 100% nylon garments. However, when I saw these items at PROD in Nakameguro, they blended effortlessly with other items because they were finished in soft nylon taffeta to give them a texture similar to that of cotton. The jacket in particular was a reinterpretation of a vintage anorak parka, and as always, it showed respect for classic items.
