PROFILE
In February 2021, he opened "YOUNG" on Boroichi-dori in Setagaya. The store will select mainly regular American used clothing that matches the trend, using an aesthetic eye cultivated through years of stocking experience. The store also holds pop-up events on an irregular basis.

-YOSUKE, you started working at "Young" last June.
Seiya: YOSUKE was originally a customer, and we became friends as we talked. He started helping me with events and we started working together.
YOSUKE: We had almost the same interests and we got along well with each other. We were the same age.
Seiya: We lived close to each other. We often went back and forth to each other's houses and played together.
-Has there been any change in the lineup since Mr. YOSUKE joined?
Seiya: I like good old American clothes, and YOSUKE likes sporty clothes with loud colors. We have a good mix of selections.
-The variety of incense is amazing.

Seiya: When I first went to the U.S., I bought this brand of handmade incense from a street vendor. I bought it as a personal souvenir, but I liked it so much that I started selling it as well. Even women who don't usually buy secondhand clothes started coming to the store.
-Are there any items or outfits you are interested in this spring?
Seiya: Take this blouson, for example. It has a snug shape with a wide body and short length. It can be worn by both men and women. Playing with size is the mood of spring.
YOSUKE: I would like to wear a derby jacket soon. I want a blue or burgundy colored one. I'd like to put a badge on it. I would also like to have long T-shirts that are not ribbed and can be worn alone. I want to increase the variety in my wardrobe.
-What kind of customers does "Young" have?

Seiya: When we first opened, there were a lot of people of the same generation, but recently we have started to have college age customers as well. Also, since we are located locally, we often have people from the Micha to Kyodo area visit us on weekdays. They come here after cycling on their bicycles.
-There are many good stores in the area, so I can understand why you would want to haggle.
Seiya: Time passes slowly, and the hot water is just right. I like that I can spend time at my own pace.

-I know you also hold events at your store.
Seiya: We hold these events on an irregular basis with people who come to the store and are involved in some kind of activity. We have events such as a photographer's zine sales event and an event where we serve tacos made from wild boar and deer. This year, we are also planning an exhibition by an illustrator.
