Changing perspectives on expression and the value of creation.
Jerry is a creator who has his own words and a keen eye for the times. Recently, he has dared to choose the path of "making his drawings worse and worse. The reason for this is that he has come to feel that "there is little point in trying hard to draw good pictures.
Nowadays, we are inundated with so many things that it's hard to tell which are drawn by people and which are AI. As I looked at so many of them, my heart was no longer moved just by how good they were or how good their taste was.

This idea led him to pursue "so poorly that a computer could not draw it" and "silly combinations that a computer would never come up with," he says. He also began to place importance on "how interesting the person making the work is.
I think it is better to buy products made by people who are interesting from a human standpoint. People want to buy things made by a person who is interesting from a human point of view. Even if the pictures are not as good as AI's, if the person is attractive, I want to be a fan. In that sense, Columbia has many interesting people, so I think that's why I like the brand.
While technology is the base of his work, he values human-like warmth and originality, and it is precisely because we live in an age of AI and digital tools that he dares to pursue "expression that only humans can achieve. This is a strong message in Jerry's creations, and it is also linked to the vision that Columbia pursues, which is to develop products through repeated field tests and the addition of human hands and thoughts.
