The "Bass" model was created in 2023 based on the iconic "Lopez" by John Lobb.
The appearance is certainly that of "Lopez," but you will be surprised at how soft it is in your hand.
It was the result of the unlined, melt-in-your-mouth supple suede and the thin, returnable extra-flexy tensil sole. Slip a foot into it, and it felt like it was enveloping you.
Not to be missed is the ornate saddle and apron stitching. These are hand-stitched, inspired by the techniques cultivated among glove makers. Perhaps the design was intended to visualize the comfort of the shoes (which, as it turns out, feel just like gloves).
The theory is that this type of shoe should be put together using the cemented or Mackay method. However, John Robb uses the Goodyear welt method. This is the pride of a long-established company that wants its customers to wear its shoes with care and care through repairs. Despite the multi-layered manufacturing process, it is remarkable that the feel of the footwear has not been compromised in the slightest.
