Leather shoes are making a comeback as a reaction to the sneaker-oriented trend. The mainstay is the slip-on. The driving force is the Albert slipper.
Albert slippers have been wowing connoisseurs with their nonchalant appearance. As the name suggests, these slippers have their roots in room shoes, and were named after Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, who loved to wear them. It is said that he wore them to remove a black tie.
Crockett & Jones' "Kensington" played a role in the crowd. The "Kensington 9" is the latest addition to the Kensington line, which has undergone a series of updates.

The last is the Comfort Last 394 and the sole is the City Sole. The former is literally a comfy silhouette, with a rounded toe shape that is irresistible as well as comfortable to wear. The latter is a rubber sole ordered by Crockett & Jones from Haroboro Rubber, a company known for its dynamite soles, and features a clean look that could easily be mistaken for leather. The feature of this sole is that the unevenness of the tread has been reduced and the grip of the rubber itself has been enhanced.
The City Sole, which is known for its grip, is used exclusively by Crockett & Jones.
The upper is black calf. The glossy luster brings out the silhouette like a contour line. This is a unique pair for early fall when you want to finish the look with elegance.
The minimalist design also offers the structural advantage that even the creases in the footwear can function as part of the design.
