The calfskin chosen was Scandinavian calfskin, which is known for its high quality raw hides. The process of re-tanning, which is literally a further tanning process, gives the skins an overwhelming flexibility. The aniline finish gives it a translucent freshness. The grains on the surface look like ripples and are absolutely beautiful.

There is no mouton fur, no waistbelt, no padding. The only accent, the zipper, is unobtrusive yet irresistible.
