In 2024, Julian Krosner was appointed creative director of Dries Van Noten.
A graduate of La Cambre National School of Fine Arts in Belgium, Krosner has worked for several brands before joining Dries Van Noten's women's design team in 2006. A fashion house that knows its stuff. The Spring/Summer '26 collection, his debut for the men's collection, was an outstanding design work.
With a blank canvas in front of him, Krosner had in mind a rethinking of formal and casual wear. This oversized shirt epitomizes this season's theme.

Beautiful stripes in blue.
Made of cupro rather than the usual cotton broadcloth, the shirt has a silky sheen and is truly noble. The supple drape, on the other hand, adds to the loose feel.
And I was attracted by the beautiful color. The light blue color with classical stripes is like the murmuring of a stream.
The other new item is also fresh. This cotton stripe is dyed in mint green, like moss that has not yet been stepped on by anyone. The blouson design with stand-up collar and zip-up, combined with the thick but light cotton, makes it seem to float.

If you think about it, it was the founding designer who reset the dress code with his use of color. He was called the “magician of color.”
