Have you made plans for summer vacation and the upcoming Silver Week? If you’re thinking of heading to a local spot to relax, we’d like to recommend “Hoshi no Koyama Land.”
This is an outdoor resort located on Mt. Hoshii, the highest peak in eastern Hiroshima.
They say that during the day, you can enjoy camping, barbecues, and the pool in the crisp, clear air, and at night, you can gaze up at a sky full of stars.
This venue reopened after renovations on July 1 of this year. Designer Yosuke Aizawa was in charge of the project.
Mr. Aizawa redesigned the Center House—which features a café space—into a “Mountain Lounge” where the building blends harmoniously with nature. He reportedly oversaw the entire project, from the stately interior design centered on charcoal gray tones to the furniture and outdoor furnishings in each area of the facility, as well as the original merchandise set to go on sale in the future.
"Hoshi no Koyama Land" offers a wide selection of cottages and campsites.
From family outings to solo camping, you can enjoy nature in whatever way suits you best. Plus, there’s the “Sky Area,” which is limited to just two groups per day, allowing you to have the breathtaking views all to yourself. This area is fully equipped with a tent sauna.
A special place in the great outdoors where you can experience both the “luxury of doing nothing” and the “joy of playing to your heart’s content.” I think it’s a wonderful way to spend your time—to forget the hustle and bustle of the city and just relax here.
