Hawaiian classics meet Shonan’s fresh seafood. “Pacific BAKERY,” a bakery in Shichirigahama, has been renovated and now welcomes guests with a new menu that incorporates the region’s unique culinary culture, as well as an expanded dine-in area.
New additions to the menu include sandwiches inspired by local Hawaiian cuisine and focaccia made with shirasu. Of particular note are the “Dashi Shirasu Focaccia” and the “Chabatta with Wakame and a Hint of Caramelized Soy Sauce.” While rooted in Hawaiian bakery traditions, we’ve incorporated ingredients characteristic of Kamakura—such as shirasu and wakame—to capture the essence of Shichirigahama in our bread.
Of course, the coconut milk bread and malasadas—which have been favorites since the shop opened—are still on the menu. In addition, the in-store dining area has been expanded, making it easier to enjoy freshly baked bread and coffee right there. With the addition of “Dot Ice,” the shop seems like a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or a quick break during a walk along the beach.
Inside the shop, you’ll also find apparel items from the “Pacific” brand, such as T-shirts and tote bags. You might stop by to buy some bread, but you’ll likely find yourself drawn to these items as well. “Pacific Bakery” is where Hawaiian local culture meets everyday life in Shonan. If you’re visiting Shichirigahama, it’s a spot you’ll want to stop by—whether before heading to the beach or on your way back from a stroll.
