Photographer Takashi Homma has been photographing the landscape of Tokyo, which continues to change at an astonishing pace, but at the same time, some things have remained unchanged.
In 2015, Mr. Homma began a series of articles in "Casa BRURUS" entitled "TOKYO NEW SCAPES," documenting the cityscapes of Tokyo. In September of this year, a special book compiling the Series into one volume was published .
And now, the culmination of this project, the installation "TOKYO NEW SCAPES BY TAKASHI HOMMA" will be held at "T-HOUSE New Balance".
In this installation, Homma presents a new interpretation of everyday life in Tokyo. The scenes that are cut out are scenes that are commonly seen by people living in Tokyo, but looking at Homma's photographs, one can notice the ephemeral beauty of everyday life that has been forgotten in the busyness of everyday life.
During the event, the printed color prints will be displayed on the wall of the T-House New Balance, and visitors will be able to take home their own prints (up to one per person). (Limit 1 print per person. Only once during the exhibition period.)
The program starts on Friday, December 10.
