Adorable characters are all over the place! Spanish artist Javier Calleja's solo exhibition will be held at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO.

A Spanish artist who continues to draw adorable characters with eye-catching big eyes,Habia Calleja.(Javier Calleja). His friendly style has earned him fans all over the world, and his solo exhibition "MR.GÜNTER, THE CAT SHOW" will be held at "PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO" in Shibuya from June 25 (Sat).

Calleja professes to be a fan of René Magritte, Yoshitomo Nara, and Chris Johansson, masters of Surrealism (surrealism), which expresses the subconscious world of dreams and illusions. Taking a cue from their techniques, Calleja's works, with their emphasis on facial expressions, changes in color, and witty text, surprise and humor the viewer.

In addition to a large wood sculpture never before exhibited in Japan, a selection of new paintings and drawings will be on display at the exhibition. The public artwork of Calleja's beloved cat "MR.GÜNTER" at the entrance of Shibuya Parco is also not to be missed.
