The company is Valmode, a workshop in Akita, Tohoku, Japan. The company is contracted to produce polo shirts for Lacoste, and when cutting polo shirt parts from a pattern, there is a surplus of fabric called "leftover fabric.

Yarns made from recycled cotton are used 25% for sweatshirts and 30% for T-shirts. The yarn is blended with regular cotton in a well-balanced manner, taking into consideration the texture and quality of the product.

The items will go on sale on May 3 (Wed., national holiday). They will be available at the Lacoste Hankyu Umeda flagship store.
