Yutaka Kobayashi's solo exhibition "Between memories and experiences" will open at Sangenjaya.

Everyone has a place they long to visit someday. Even the sights that we have seen on TV or in photographs seem new to us when we see them.

Illustrator Yutaka Kobyashi, who uniquely expresses the culture he loves such as skateboarding, fashion, and music, will hold a solo exhibition "Between memories and experiences" at "Sally's Journey" in Sangenjaya, Tokyo. Between memories and experiences" at "Sally's Journey" in Sangenjaya, Tokyo.

Yutaka Kobyashi works as an artist in addition to his job at NOAH, and has been involved in key visuals for NIKE SB, logo design for skate brands, and wall art for Shibuya PARCO, Shibuya 109, and the Sasazuka Ball. He has also done wall art for "Shibuya PARCO," "Shibuya 109," and "Sasazuka Ball.

The theme of this exhibition is New York. The exhibition will feature giclee prints of sketches digitally reconstructed from his own memories and experiences of his first visit to the city.

The works, drawn with a loose touch, are characterized by a rough yet delicate color palette. The sketches for the works in this exhibition were all written during the artist's stay in Japan, so they are fresh and reflect the feelings of the local artists.
