This collaboration commemorates the 60th anniversary of "Unikko," known as Marimekko's iconic design. Store decorations and items will go on sale on Friday, June 14.
The items on sale include standard items such as T-shirts and tote bags, as well as items typical of Blue Bottle Coffee, such as caps with enamel pins, the popular "Kiyosumi Mug" and drippers that have been available since the company's arrival in Japan.
The T-shirts are only available at Blue Bottle Coffee's Kiyosumi-Shirakawa flagship, Aoyama, Shinjuku, Ginza, Shibuya, Daikanyama, Umeda-Chayamachi, Kyoto, Nagoya Sakae, Fukuoka Tenjin, and the official online store, Aoyama, Shinjuku, Ginza, Shibuya, Daikanyama, Umeda Chayamachi, Kyoto, Nagoya Sakae, Fukuoka Tenjin, and the official online store.
In addition, from June 14 (Fri.) to 30 (Sun.), "Blue Bottle Coffee Daikanyama Cafe" and "Blue Bottle Coffee Shibuya Cafe" will be decorated in "Unikko" colors. The exterior, interior, and baristas will be wearing special aprons, caps, and T-shirts with the Unikko pattern painted all over them.
Incidentally, Finland, the home of Marimekko, is ranked No. 1 in terms of national happiness and is said to have the world's largest individual consumption of coffee. It would not be a bad idea to experience a little of that feeling while relaxing with a cup of coffee at a Marimekko store.
