Tomokazu Ihara is one of Japan's top trail runners in both name and reality, having won the 100-mile FTR Chichibu & Okumusashi last year for the first time in his career.
His life's work is the challenge of the "Berkeley Marathons," known as the Devil's Race.
Entry requirements and entry details are undisclosed. Why does Tomokazu Ihara continue to challenge this mysterious and strange race? A preview of the second documentary film "Main Quest 2 ~The Howl of an Unsullied Loser~," which captures the 2024 race, will be held on April 2, ( Wed ) at EuroLive in Shibuya.
Failure is all that is promised. What will the "unsullied loser" think when he hears the sound of the funeral trumpet again at the Berkeley Marathons, the "graveyard of dreams?
What is the true nature of this devil's race, where the strongest runners challenge and are shattered? Through the realistic screen, you can feel Tomokazu Ihara's determination as well as the real Berkeley Marathons.
The first part is currently available on YouTube. Check it out for a preliminary study.
