Vol.36 Five "Black Sneakers" to Wear Now.

The popular series "Huinamu's Monthly ATMOS" has been renewed on the occasion of its third anniversary. Each issue has a new theme, and "atmos" director Fumifumi Kojima will introduce five pairs (+α) that he recommends. The theme for the first renewal is "black sneakers," a favorite of Mr. Kojima himself.

The successor to the "Air Max 95"? The new "95000" of the future appears.

Huynam: By the way, it has already been three years since this series started in December 2022. Looking back, how do you feel?

Kojima: It was a moment. Time flies really fast. I can only thank everyone who has always read my work.

Huynam: How are you feeling these days, Mr. Kojima? You seem to be busy all the time.

Kojima: I'm as busy as ever. I don't even have time to update my Instagram (laughs).

Huynam: I saw this picture on that instagram. What is this?

Kojima: This is a "future Air Max" taken at Complexcon. It was only available at the event.

Huynem: What is the "Air Max" of the future?

Kojima: A collaborative project between Nike and a 3D printer company. A 3D printer was brought in next to the booth at the venue, and the output was done on the spot.

Huynam: What? Did you make it on site?

Kojima: That's right. It was the only model available on the spot.

Huynem: What is the name of the model?

Kojima: "Air Max 95000.

Huynh Nam: 95000...... great name.

Kojima: The sole is based on the "Air Max 95," and the upper is entirely 3D printed. It's a bit of a strange look that can be worn like a slip-on.

Huynh Nam: What did you feel was 3D printing-like?

Kojima:First of all, since the parts are not sewn together, there is no scrap material (=garbage). Also, there is the possibility of not having to make lasts (wooden patterns). In the future, we may see a world where a footprint is scanned at a Nike store and a special upper is printed for that person at .......

Huynam: Full orders are more accessible, he said.

Kojima: In addition, as long as we have the data, we could theoretically create a system in which the product is made at a 3D printing factory in Japan and sold by Nike Japan.

Huynem: I have a dream.

Kojima: I thought it was an interesting option for the future. To what extent it will be made commercially available remains to be seen, but it is really interesting to see new challenges like this. And that kind of excitement is what makes Nike so appealing. I hope to see more of it in the future.
