How will the two of them handle the LOW BASKET SG?
The “LOW BASKET SG” is packed with ’s attention to detail. How will Kaji and Ebe interpret its high quality—built with the user in mind—and its sophisticated look, and incorporate them into their outfits? Here are some styling examples from the two of them.
Style 01 / Yuta Kaji
A pervy old guy from the bubble era? Or maybe a Westerner in the South of France (lol).
“Since these are shoes with a basic design, they go well with a regular, neat outfit, but I wanted to enjoy a sense of incongruity and nuance that’s uniquely mine. That’s why I wore a shirt from a brand I used to run. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary shirt, but the cuffs have a ’90s designer vibe, adding a little twist. As I mentioned earlier, the look evokes either a sleazy middle-aged guy with a hint of the Bubble Era—or, to put it more positively, a Westerner enjoying a vacation in the South of France (laughs). White sneakers have a strong presence, but they also leave some room to breathe, in a good way. I think that as I wear these in my daily life and they gradually develop more character, they’ll really start to feel like a part of me.”
Style 02 / Hisaki Ebe
A contemporary vibe, though not quite “fashion.”
“Just because these are made in Japan, I didn’t want to lean toward what you might call a ”craft-like’ aesthetic. I think these shoes go well with both fashion-forward outfits and clean, basic looks. I put together this outfit with the feeling of navigating the ‘middle ground’—without leaning too far in either direction. I paired a knit from a European luxury brand with silk easy pants to create a look with a touch of allure. It’s not quite high fashion, but I was aiming for a contemporary vibe. The fact that the sole and laces are black—rather than white—and the shoes are all-black also fits that mood perfectly.”
