Aiming for the summer's typical sea bream. Huinamu Fishing Club runs around Sagami Bay.

One of the major attractions of fishing is that you can enjoy the climate and scenery of the season with your whole body while targeting fish that are unique to the season. With the arrival of early summer, the Hui-Nam Fishing Club will challenge the casting game for dolphinfish, which are in full swing in Sagami Bay in summer. Many anglers are attracted by the fierce bite of the fish as it explodes on the surface of the water and the fight with a fish over 1 meter in length. The time spent chasing big fish in the sea breeze was both comfortable and thrilling!

Exciting Shira.

The temperature is 18 degrees. The boat is sailing in calm seas with no wind. The whitebait we are targeting this time is a large migratory fish that lives in warm seas. It is a popular target in Sagami Bay in summer. What is most appealing is the rampant behavior of these huge fish, which are about 1 meter in length and leap across the surface of the sea. The colorful green and yellow body color also somehow enhances the feeling of summer. It is still a little early for the high season of dolphinfish, but I decided to try it one step ahead.

Casting game involves running the boat to the location where the target fish is likely to be, casting, and repeating the process to the next point. For yellowfin tuna and bonito, “toriyama,” where seabirds gather to eat small fish, is a marker, but for dolphinfish, drifting debris floating on the tide line is also a clue. The small fish gather under them, and the dolphins gather to prey on them.

We arrive at the first point. With a high spirit, we started casting! It is the first morning of the day, the golden hour of the day, when it is easiest to catch fish. Everyone is excited.

The main lure we will be using this time is the Shoreline Shiner Z Set Upper 125S-DR by Daiwa. This minnow is known to produce steady catches of sea bass and other bluefish.

The "Shoreline Shiner Z Set Upper 125S-DR" will be released in special order colors specially ordered by WAKOMARIA! The color named "HAVE A NICE The "HAVE A NICE DAY" color incorporates the leopard pattern that symbolizes WAKOMARIA, and the gold and silver colors used have a reputation for good fishing results. The gold and silver colors used are well known for their good fishing results.

Murata:For the past several seasons, "Wacomaria" has focused on Japanese craftsmanship and collaborated with long-established manufacturers to develop items. One of them is a lure from Daiwa, so we asked them to make a special order color for us. The "Set Upper" is a favorite of mine, and it catches fish really well. I have caught sea bass, flounder, and small tuna.

Hosoe:In the planning stage, we thought, "If we are going to collaborate on this project, let's make a lure that catches fish like crazy! We decided to go for it. The coloring is even better than I had imagined.

Kinugawa:I can finally throw a lure that I have been really looking forward to since the sample. I unveiled it at an exhibition last year and it was quite well received. I plan to purchase about 5 myself.

Saisu:I loved the coloring, which I personally love. It looks like it would fish like crazy.

Shoreline Shiner Z Set Upper To use the 125S-DR, simply reel it in. The body rotates in small increments while swinging widely from side to side, a movement that attracts fish to bite. A moving tungsten weight is built into the inside of the body, greatly increasing the casting distance. The swim posture is also kept horizontal, making it difficult to be spotted.

Ikemoto:The "Set Upper" is one of my favorite lures. It flies so well that you would think your casting has improved.

Komatsu:I have this lure in several different colors because it moves so well. Today I would like to catch a dolphinfish by throwing the "Set Upper" all over the place.

We all try to throw "set ups". There is definitely movement. But no response means no shiners here, so we move on for about 30 minutes.
