Mr. Okutomi selected "JOHN LAWRENCE SULLIVAN" as the brand to be styled by "A VIRGIN", didn't he? You had a rather clear image of the brand before you came here. What kind of image do you have of the brand?
Okutomi:I think it is very difficult to embody an avant-garde style while being a tailor-based brand. Sullivan is very good in this area. Also, when you try to unify men's and women's wear, it tends to be a bit simpler. But, while being elegant and cohesive, it is also punk. I am always amazed at the exquisite balance.

I heard that you released many fetish items with body piercings on the clothes in the 21SS season. For women's wear, there are also items with an added element of lingerie.
Okutomi:Maybe a leather mask with earrings would be nice. . you could go for more accessories, such as mask cords or bracelets.

. Could you tell us briefly about your styling tips?
Okutomi:It's a hard style, keeping her image in mind (laughs). Each item is radical, whether it is leather or pearls, but I think the shirt, which is edgy but only a formal item, will set the whole look in place.
. Aside from whether it can be worn on the street, the styling is exactly what I imagine A VIRGIN usually wears when he performs on stage.
A VIRGIN:. the costumes for live performances are easy to play the guitar in.
Okutomi:Is that what this is about? I didn't know that.
A VIRGIN:. because it's easier to play the guitar if there's as little fabric as possible. As long as there are no sleeves, leotards and down vests are fine (laughs). (Laughs.) The more fitted the outfit is, the better the live performance will be. The guitar stands out, too.
